Ladies: to crop or not?

I think all three of themk are so gorgeous they could have a skinhead & look fab:D
I think medium or longer hair is more forgiving to ladies, short hair is rarely a feature, the face is usually the feature & the hair is just there. But medium or longer hair can be a real feature/asset.
I think as women get older they need to think about shortening it, especially if its thin or thinning. Mine is still very thick, but I wouldn't have it much longer than a few inches below shoulder now.

my mind was working along those lines.

I got mine cropped a couple of months ago because my baby kept pulling my hair, it looked great for the first couple of weeks. It felt very freeing, however I found that because it was so short when it starts to grow it very quickly lost it's shape and needed cut a LOT more often than when it was long. Having seen some pictures of myself recently with long hair I have decided to grow it all back again. Little one will just need to learn not to pull mama's hair!First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.0

I have had short hair now for years and find it so much easier to maintain. I did have long hair in my early twenties through lack of money meaning I couldn't afford to get it cut so often and it is just a fluffy mess when longer, even straighteners did nothing to calm it. But the first few inches were always straight at the hair line so I looked even wierder. Now I can just wash my hair, straighten it quickly and slap a bit of gel on to spike it up and voila! Plus it means I can dye my hair quicker as I tend to dye it different colours every few weeks, at the moment am on a rather boring red, next it's purple.
It does mean that I have to go to the hairdressers more often but it's my treat to myself. Oh and I also have a fringe but it's a kind of 'emo' fringe and swept to one side, I look terrible with nothing covering my forehead up.
Right now I wouldn't dream of having long hair again, the only bit I miss is when I am in a rush I can't sweep it into a pony tail, but it only takes 5 mins to sort out anyway.Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0 -
I know long hair doesn't suit me, but when I grew it out about 10 years ago, everyone said "oh you look so feminine with longer hair". I'm definitely going to go Halle now.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

If you're really pretty (as you are hun) it suits. What I said was long hair is more forgiving;)0 -
As I said in my previous post I personally do not like long hair unless it is very thick and preferably not dead straight. I also agree that long hair has to look very clean to look good. I realise long hair is a pain to wash but it seems a lot of women with long hair don't wash it anywhere near enough. Also amazed how many women have long hair that looks as though it has not been combed for a week! Don't know why any man would find unwashed hair sexy
Short hair is definitely more interesting. Long hair is usually boring unless an unusual colour or very curly.
A lot of women seem to have long hair whether it suits them or not. Very thin hair looks awful long as does, in my opinion, grey hair.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

I absolutely LOVE my hair long and so does my DP but everyone else around me says it suits me sooo much better when its shorter. I had it cut into a bob which was chin length and had a fringe cut into it for the first time in about 18 years. While I love the fringe, I hate that I have to keep getting it cut like every 2 weeks or I can't see anything and I really miss my long hair as it used to be half way down my back.
I am now trying to grow it out again. I feel sexier with longer hair and love playing with styles and feel I can do so much more with it when it is longer.
I am with the people who think that those with high cheek bones look incredible with short hair/pixie crops. Halle Berry and Keira Knightley really do suit their hair shorter.0 -
I have short hair, I prefer it to when it was long, and its healthier now too, as its naturally wavey and i hate it, so straighten it when its long, but at this length I can get away with just blowdrying it
(excuse the bad pics)
