    Happy Easter everyone,
I'm smoke free 21 days now after 35 a day for more that 33 years.:j
Went out for a meal last night and of course had a few drinks. Would have loved one after the meal but resisted the temptation. Just wish I could get it into my head that like Allen Carr says "they do absolutely nothing for you".
I know it's just an illusion and I wish I could really get my head round that.
Well done to everyone else and keep on keeping on.

    2. i would save £1876 a year by not smoking

    3. (and this one has the 'eek' factor)... in t he past 15 years of, simultaneously killing myself and running up debts i have somehow managed to spend around £27000 on F A G S!!!!

    Hi Fiery
Well done on deciding. I totally understand the caffeine (sp?)thing. I have started drinking more water but I've never been very good at that.
I have the same situation with my son, he despises it. Cost is shocking, physically and financially.

Have a confession, had a BBQ last night and nicodemon got me, twice. It's never a mad craving for one it's always a moment when I'm relaxed.

I'm in Berlin at the minute and last night I would have sold my granny for a cigarette but myOH said he'd break my legs if I tried to buy any. Not as bad today but I think I'll have to give up alcohol. It definitely weakens the resolve. While I'm at it maybe I should give up chocolate ( sure I might as well give up all the pleasures of life}. It's 24 days now and actually the 1st three weeks were easy compared to this. When does it get better?
Keep up the good work everyone else!!!

Keep your nerve Franco, you have travelled so far, it would be a total waste to give in now, think how hard it will be for you to start it all over again!

I actually found it much easier after the first 3 weeks, in fact, smoking hardly crosses my mind now except when I actually see someone smoking, and then I feel sorry for them rather than envious.
Stopped smoking Jan 2007 after 23 years!
    Cigarettes NOT smoked = 240,945
    Smoke free days = 11 Years :T
Cash saved so far = £125,45,11

    Hey all,

I am wanting to quit smoking but i dont think that i can do it on my own. I quit smoking for 4 months. Just went cold turkey, but my boyfriend was smoking and didnt want to quit at the time. This made it hard for me and so i couldnt carry on.
He has now decided that as its his 25th birthday on Tuesday that he wants to quit on Sunday (not holding my breath though!), so were going to do it together.

The other problem i have is that i dont drink (at all!) so when everyone is drinking round me i smoke. I think that that is going to be the hardest thing for me.

I know everyone says that you save so much money, but i didnt see it last time. I think i need something to motivate myself or even a little goal. Like everytime i feel like a cigg put 20p in a pot or something.

Has anyone got any hints as to help?

    Thanks all xxx
