Woah! The mind boggles. That is something else!

I've made stupid mistakes, and lost out financially. Yes I was fuming. And I was cross that I wasn't granted any leiniency against my error.

But it takes a whole level of obnoxiousness greater to label the people dealing out the consequences of my failure as "scum" simply for following rules and not bending them in a way I would like.

I'm proud to be a nice person.
    .

Your proud to be a nice person....:rotfl:You used the words obnoxious, scum and stupid, not me.
The ending to the story was the store manager agreed with me,and some time later they stopped using that company.

I think the message from the horses mouth is helpful.

Of course, landowners have a right to charge for and police proper parking. If you've broken those rules, and you think the ticket isn't exorbitant, I'd urge you to pay up.

If you DO think it's exorbitant, one route is to simply pay what you think is right, eg the equivalent to what you'd be charged on a public road.

In my book it's nice to accept there are consequences for mistakes.

I make mistakes, loads of them. I fume inside. But I don't get all self richeous and blame others for the consequences of my failings.

Soo naive. You clearly have no clue about PPCs. They cannot fine for making a simple mistake, the OP payed the money, everything else the PPC then do to collect money is an act of fraud.

How is it "nice" to accept it?
The store Manager agreed,he thought they were being unreasonable,CAB dont agree its reasonable. If it was so nice, how come they stopped using the company.Anyway, all they needed to do was check the camera, but they would rather "fine" me.

It's under the section "DO remember this is about unfair tickets".

The much better advice is, if it is a genuine pre-estimate of loss (ie. the charge of a normal parking ticket), then consider paying up - this is reality never happens.

If it isn't, then do not pay them anything, and ignore all letters and threats.

That'll be for the parking company to sort out. I've posted the very generic details which is all we know at the present time.

As we all know they won't sort it out, they'll just spew out their invoice and being British most will just pay up. They won't accept any appeal and will keep sending their ever more threatening letters even though they would never dare follow up.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
