Morrisons car park warning

Stay away from Morrisons if you think you will be there for more than their allowed shopping time.

I have been charged £40 because I was 17 minutes over their allowed parking time because I was sitting in their cafe spending more money after spending over £100 on my shopping.

Don't worry, I am not about to pay the £40.

I am now doing my shopping at Tesco.

I've stopped going into their cafe after waiting 45 mins for a portion of chips!

Or simply ignore the 'parking charge' (or start a collection) because it is unenforceable.

No time limit in our Morrisons Car Park, I often park in there and go and catch the bus to Leeds for the day.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

The tickets given out should be enforceable but in the OP's case if hes spent time shopping then it should be torn up.

There are a few thousand posts on this forum to suggest that they are unenforceable invoices so ignore, ignore, ignore is the traditional advice.

In similar circs, I wrote to Morrisons enclosing my receipts and informed them that I would not be paying their fine or shopping with them again. They sent me vouchers!

what happened when you went back into Morrison's, walked up to customer services and showed them the ticket and your receipt to show that you were actually a customer and not just using them for free parking?

    NAME AND SHAME
Post a picture of this SCAM Morrisons are running or involved in
remove ID details and post it up please, Talk is not enough, we need to start showing them up.
Let anyone thinking of shopping in Morrison's see how they treat customers with their own eyes .
    Please post it up.
If Morrisons don't like it, they could always treat customers with respect and not try to scam them.
