When did you stop beating you wife? There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
err OP has named, it was "Morrisons"!!Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -
NAME AND SHAME
Post a picture of this SCAM Morrisons are running or involved in
remove ID details and post it up please, Talk is not enough, we need to start showing them up.
Let anyone thinking of shopping in Morrison's see how they treat customers with their own eyes .
Please post it up.
If Morrisons don't like it, they could always treat customers with respect and not try to scam them.
Is this supposed to be ironic? There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
No time limit in our Morrisons Car Park, I often park in there and go and catch the bus to Leeds for the day.
Which is why they are introducing these cowboy parking companies in a lot of their stores.
My local has applied for parking charges as well, mostly due to people using their car park to spend the day elsewhere leaving no room for their customers to park.
This is prime example, 11am on a Farmers Market day and this is the only dropped kerb to the main car park:
The owners were not in the store, I put a call out after watching an elderly couple struggling to get their trolley to the car (I had to carry it off the kerb in the end).
So whilst I dont necessarily agree with these parking companies, I can understand why they use them when people abuse the parking.0 -
See, I'm fairly (95%) certain that you would receive at least two warnings via letter to say that you have overstayed on previous occasions. So, either you're REALLY slow at shopping, disabled (in which case, phone the company, inform them and they will remove the fine) or you're just taking the !!!!.
I work in a town center supermarket, and we often used to have people park in our car park and get on the train to go to work, this caused huge problems with real customers, because even more people would just use our car park to go into town and never shop with us. So we'll fine anyone staying over 3 hours, which IIRC is £70/£40 is paid within 14 days.
As far as I'm aware the fines that are issued on our behalf are enforceable due to the sheer amount of signage we have (2 upon entry, 1 if you turn left at the first row, 1 if you turn right and 1 at the top and bottom of each subsequent row, a some on the wall of the building itself). On top of that we do record photographic evidence which includes but is not limited to automatic photographs taken on entry and exit.0 -

You are running a unenforceable SCAM and you should be ashamed of yourself !
Install a barrier and refund the fee in the store, that's fair enough it is your car park, but try to steal money from your customers by scamming and threatening them with fake parking tickets, then
SHAME ON YOU ! You do not deserve customers.
Which part of the LAW that states you can not issue fines or penalties do you not understand.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Have you ever considered waking up before you post?
he works in a supermarket - he doesn't own one.
He isn't trying to enforce anything or take anybody's money (unless he's working on the till)
He doesn't have to understand any law as he only works at the supermarket
The only thing you got right is that the 'fines' aren't enforceable.0 -

Yes, because I'm the MD of a multi-million supermarket and I make all the decisions. :rotfl: Get a grip.0 -
He is proportioning and supporting the position of scamming customers with fake parking tickets to be correct, that in my book makes you involved.
