I'm from a family of advanced knitwits, which means I can but rarely do. I'd say there was nothing technically very difficult in the body, BUT knitting 'in the round' is a technique which can take a bit of getting used to, and picking up stitches from an edge can be fiddly until you work out which bit of the stitch to go for to make it even. The 'three needle bind-off' is not something I've ever seen even my mother do, but having said that you could always bottle out, cast off both edges and sew them together!

I think if you had a knitting friend you could go to for advice, or even a friendly yarn shop, it would be worth a try if you like that kind of bag. They have their uses, but also their limitations!

Of course if gingababe has actually knitted this, she can come and tell us how it actually was: this is only my perception.

I've found a load of resonably priced string shopping bags on ebay, I've just bought 5 for £12 including postage which seems pretty good!

Found some really good cheap bags on a web site. called The Clever Baggers. they have loads of different colours and they are mega cheap!
