greenbee feel better soon, and like others have said you'll be in the best place for you, even though you may be driven a bit mad with all the looking after that people want to do for you xx

i have 7 boxes left to sort through in the spare room but they are neatly stacked in big cardboard boxes so they dont look that untidy, 1 bag of filing, 1 bag of shredding and 2 boxes of OHs work stuff to organise yet again, but i can have someone to stay and it would look ok, the babys room is cleared apart from the stuff on the floor which is for the charity shop so feeling pretty chuffed with the progress made this week, even though the house is still a bit of a tip its a lot better than it has been.

OH has just called, and I am FURIOUS with his parents. So-called Christians, they are basically turning their backs on him as they've told him that although they'll pray for me, they won't support him being in a relationship with me. Their priority is apparently their grandchildren and rather than supporting him in his relationship with them they are abandoning him because they think that otherwise his ex will prevent him seeing them.

So much for forgiveness, acceptance and charity. Surely it is hypocritical to expect two people to stay in an unhappy marriage, making their children unhappy? Surely they should be supporting him and doing what they can to help him and the kids have a happy and productive relationship with each other and with them.

He did try not to tell me, but something was clearly bothering him. I can't believe they don't realise he has enough to deal with in coping with the kids, his ex, and me being ill. He's too nice to do the same thing back to them though.

On that note, I think I'm going to head off to bed with a hot water bottle and a book.I have LOTS to do this weekend including finding my cheque book :o

Greenbee - well what can I say - hope you're feeling better soon and the out laws are being selfish and narrow minded (and pathetic IMO)

I have ironed a maidenful, filled the washer with more washing, and decluttered lots of work related carp, More recycling put out, carrier bags bagged up to go to be recycled- operation clean slate is well under way. Once I have cleared the detritis I can start on the new year stuff - and I will...

greenbee i'm sorry to hear your unwell, *speedy recovery vibes* as for OH's parents there just adding more distress and misery (((big hugs)))

I think hubby has seen the light here, we've set the tv up in the bedroom but can't find the remote anywhere. I swear i've seen it somewhere lately.

So tomorrow is gonna be an early start and we're both going to take into the house. :o I may even post before and after pics of how bad it really is.... plus i might find the remote...:rotfl: Kids shall be made to help too. :D Right bed and back up at 6 to make a good start before the kids get up

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

These are the kind of christians that put me off going to church..

The forgiveness, acceptance and charity is only allowed when it is forgiving themselves.

He has enough to deal with and that can keep his mind focussed until they grow up and stop being so unchristian!

Maybe we should all pray they can find peace with themselves for putting their son through this when he needs theirs support more than ever.

WM x2... inc my honking slippers
Finances jiggled.. I need to save £1200 for my windows... and I have about 3-4 weeks to do it in.. *gulp* I can dip into the 'savings' but I'd rather not it not being my money and all :o but it may buy me an extra week or 2 to scrape it together. Guess where this years child benefit has gone!.. I figured keeping the children warm and making their bedrooms nice and dry was important enough to spend it on the house.
2 films and 2 series decluttered off the lappy (3 onto memory stick)

Off to make a cuppa... and do some knitting

Agree with what pigpen said but to add maybe they are the type who have ignored happiness to do what they think is right & that gives them this bizarre outlook. They'll hopefully see sense soon. You just concentrate getting well again greenbee

Cuppa mmmm good idea piggers but I best do hot choc as I'm drinking way too much caffeine. Last uniform wash is done :) yay! Can't be bothered to do anything else now so think I'll go to bed soon. Might do finance *ick* and write a frog list, don't need to get off my bum then

Good intentions if you could look after my BD for a while and muzzle it I'd appreciate that :)
One day I might be more organised...........
