I too got a letter saying my subscription had jumped up - was about to call them when I had a look at my account online. Yes they have upgraded me to the full package but they have credited my account for the trial - how stupid that they don't mention that in the letter (I find Sky's billing process !!!! around tit all it does is confuse people).

So what im saying is, log into your account and check they have given you the necesary credits to make this a free trial... save you an phone call :)

I looked at my account and it said my bill was the same as normal, but gave me a 5 pound credit. No idea what's going on there. I already put the letter away, I'll have to get it out and look it over again. Seems like the only thing that's clear is Sky hasn't got it's act together, or this wouldn't be so confusing.

Only if you're on sky talk, BT will charge you, although might get it free in your inclusive minutes, not sure, think my call to them got charged and I have all inclusive minutes with BT, but I know it was free when we were with sky talk.

Am slightly miffed that I am apparently ineligible for this even though I have never had any offers for the 7 years I've been with Sky. The agent didn't seem to know about this offer and suggested I could have 3 months for half price and get credit back for two of those, but it's still not the same. Think I should contact Customer Services. It does say in the terms and conditions that it applies to those that get a letter, but they are also advertising this much more widely.

I managed to get the offer, but after seeing all this hassle thought i would double check my account.

I haven't had a letter so far but when checking my account online it says they have credited my account £5, considering it says my payments would go up by £16 a month if i decided to go ahead after this deal runs out I'm not quite sure how £5 is gonna cover it lol.

But I also noticed that I bought a box office boxing fight last month and they are also charging me for one I bought last November as well!!!!! !!!!!!
So trying to add £30 onto next months bill for these!! Why the hell they would be charging me for a fight i ordered 9 months ago i don't know.

So will have to make yet another phone call to sky, I don't have proof of applying for the free movies either but if they try and charge me i will tell em where to stick it.

That still sounds like a good offer, you'll end up with 2 months free and one at half price. I know it's not as good as some of the amazing offers people report on mse, but still seems a good deal.

Please tell us how you get on; I got a credit for 5 quid as well and don't understand that.

this goes for any company, it will try and find you an alternative for 0844 numbers etc. Sky are onto this and keep changing their number, but you will usually get one that works.
It will also give you a Geographical number, which is very handy.
