I have been feeling out of sorts - last night I felt particularly unwell and felt very hot and uncomfortable (I think that the menopause has started as I am having these hot periods more often). I felt generally odd - I ended up going to bed after feeling really tired and was then wide awake:mad:

I have done a little bit more packing - this time packing all my lotions and potions into a box (I have rather a lot so some may be carbooted). I am supposed to be typing minutes but can't be bothered as I would rather to applications for jobs. I was at the jobcentre this morning for a meeting with my advisor and she has printed off two jobs for me (I have to apply for these even though I do not want to apply for one of them because of its location).

I need to get myself sorted out and will phone mum to find out what is what because despite giving notice that I am quitting this flat, I am in limbo at the moment and dare not book removers. I am getting rather wound up by it all. I have realised that I have some empty crates and plan to wrap my glass items in t-shirts and place them in one crate that already has a quilted throw in it (this throw was free and has only ever been used at a carboot).

Fingers crossed I receive a favourable response to the job I was interviewed for last week. It would be ideal although I have been told to apply for one in Alvechurch which would mean driving down lanes (great in the summer) but a huge no no in the winter.

I have had another dreadful night's sleep and was still awake at 3.15am due to the torrential rain, I got up at 7.45am. So far this morning I have had coffee and a chill on the sofa, I have also come to a decision about some of my books and they are residing in a Sainsbug's bag waiting to go to a different charity shop who are screaming out for stuff. All my Michael Connolly books are going along with a few others that I will never read again. Soon I will have a few fictional books and mainly factual ones left and these I cannot bear to part with because they are reference books.

I need to do more packing and need to sort out some removers as time is getting short:eek:

    Jobs for today:

    Go to charity shop
Go to neighborhood office to drop in my benefit evidence as they owe me rent (good job I had money to cover it otherwise I would have been in serious bother).
    Go and sign on.
    Pack more stuff away
Sort out what to keep and what to bin.

Stupidly I opened the boot of the car without ensuring that the alarm was switched off so it got itself stuck in a loop for ages now thankfully I have reset it.

I went to the charity shop with my books - all the Michael Connellys have now gone:( I still have my John Connolly though. I took my evidence to the Neighborhood Office and as I had made use of Sainsbug's carpark ventured inside for a few bits n bats.

I was sitting here minding my own business when my doorbell rang - it was an agent wanting to do a show around, needless to say I was livid (this was a different agent). I did let them in however and made my feelings clear and reminded them that the landlord was not allowed by law to give letting agents the key to let themselves in. The young couple could see past the piles of stuff and must have liked what the saw because they paid a deposit there and then so now I won't be bothered again as the flat is now off the market.

I need to sort out Virgin Media too - I was left hanging on the phone like a spare part earlier and in the end gave up. I will try ringing the sales chap about my move - I only want tv and 10mb broadband, they can keep their telephone as I will use BT instead...there is a telephone line attached to the house already.

I need to get more boxes too. I am wondering if I will ever get packed?

I am really angry now - another lettings agent has turned up demanding entry into my flat (this one has no access to a key), I told him that a deposit had already been paid by a prospective tenant who left about half an hour ago and that agent had returned to their offices in Harborne with their clients. I got the sob story that the lady who had turned up today had travelled a great distance yet I still refused to let them in. Again I had to remind the agent of his legal obligations and that of the landlord who seems to think that he can do as he pleases:mad: I will be so glad to leave this dump - just think no more noisy neighbours that screech when they bonk and no more dope smells:j

I have a crate in my living room that is filled with a quilt and I am using it to pack my glassware. I have also contacted the removal people today, they were not the cheapest by far but they are the most professional. I have received quotes from some right scam artists - some of whom are just men with vans with no removals insurance. They are providing me with 20 free packing boxes and can provide 2 men to assist with packing and 3 men to do the removal itself. It is less stressful for me to use a professional than some of my chums with a van because to hire a decent sized van would be nearly £300 anyway and that is what my removal will be costing. I know that my valuable items will be safe and my antique items will be properly packaged.

I shall sort out my clothes this weekend - I need to shift them from the floor and from the wardrobe, thankfully the silk stuff can be packed in my suitcase. I have sorted some more stuff for the charity shop in the form of a vase, some gold ting and some hyacinth vases, oh and the soap on a rope.

Vibes are needed, I had a call from Remploy just as I was about to go and sign on. It seems that I was an ideal candidate for the post that I was interviewed for last week, however, it was felt that my CV needed some more updating and further clarification before consideration. I have now updated the CV to show my unemployment, my working with Remploy and any training that I am doing or have done together with details (only a line) showing that I have worked since 1980 in various roles. I have now resubmitted it.

I was also tipped off about some jobs at BVSC so now I need to send off for application packs.

The house is driving me crackers - I have just spoken to mum who has said that our solicitors are fed up with them but at least the contracts have been exchanged now. It took them a week as they wanted to complete on 29 June but mum told her solicitor that it could either be the 22 or 25 as I am due to move out of here on 30 June. The completion date has been set for 25 June:j It is cutting it fine though but still I have a date. The solicitor thinks that the vendors are totally bizarre - why mess about for so long why not just sort it out months ago when the offer was first made and accepted?

There was me being nice to mum earlier by buying her a small pyrex jug - she has told me that she has bought herself one this week from Asda so has no need for it:( I think I will keep it and use it myself as it will be more useful than the large one that I have.

No news on the job as yet, fingers crossed I will hear next week.

I have so much to do - I need to sort out where my post goes and I think I may ask to collect it from the post office rather than have it delivered and I will be happy with this arrangement until such time as I move and can change it all over.

Another night of lying awake for hours on end. I really wish the brain would switch off. Anyway, I have made a few trips to the charity shop this morning with stuff - I even emptied the t-shirt drawer and 90% of them have been donated.

Met up with Matrix friend today and she bought along her new fiance and daughter so we had a cuppa and a natter - I now have a huge sack of bubblewrap. I have started shifting the mighty law tomes and will be moving them towards the door and ultimately several trips up and downstairs to the bin (I never wanted them in the first place and I just cannot get rid).

The small pyrex jug I got for mum I am actually keeping and have donated my large one to the charity shop as it takes up too much space. I have also put some washing on so that I at least have some nicky nacky noos to wear, could curse as I cannot get a tea stain out of a white jumpehir (must get some of that Vanish whitening).

Slowly things are coming together because really I only have this week to be sorted as I want to start moving stuff in as soon as we have the keys that way there is slightly less to move. Some stuff can go in the shed (which is lockable with a key).

I really must eat that chicken breast tonight so I will have it with a jacket spud and some peas.

Just watched part of the Trooping of the Colour and thought the Queen looked wonderful and that the DoE looked quite poorly:( Again I blubbed during the fly past - it has been a day for blubbing as Graham Norton played a song called No Charge on the radio this morning and immediately I started to blubb which wasnt good as I was driving at the time:(

Oh I have booked to have my hair done and asked for the trainee who cut my hair last time as she did such a good job of it. The college were surprised that I had asked purely for her and I explained that as the cut was good, she needed the confidence of a regular client (I don't think othey allow it normally a you have to take pot luck in the training salon).
