It certainly wasnt easy accepting their help. I would consider a move back home for the short term and I know I need to get a separation agreement/divorce sorted out - all I want is the furniture that my grandma left me and the painting I bought with the money that she left me (about £150 in cash - all the grandchildren had the same amount). I don't want anything else (this is also one of the reasons wny I had a row with my counsellor because she thought I was crackers).

I am feeling a bit more positive today although tearful at the thought of my parents. We have never been what you would call a touchy feely family but we love each other all the same...sniff... I have put my HB cheque into the bank, taken some old pills to the chemist for them to get rid safely, been to post office for stamps and to post cheque to Virgin Money. Then went to Tatco and got 2 hovis loaves reduced, 2 ltrs cravendale (sorry but I prefer fresh milk to the extremely longlife almost stera milk that I have in my store cupboard) and a pork pie...all this has been written down in my new cashbook.

Millie - sorry to hear that you are still lurgified, yes we must do coffee and I will stew up some pears for you (pears stewed in lemonade are great served with vanilla ice cream). Hope you managed to wrestle the tv remote off your chap? Why do men like to control the tv remote? They sit there like Captain Luc Picard of the Starship Enterprise pointing the thing at the tv and constantly channel hopping:mad:

I put the heater on in the living room for the first time last night - there was a roaring gale coming through from the easterly wind (the double glazing is thin and I don't think it is fitted that well), I keep my window blinds constantly shut to try and trap air in the room. At least I was warm - that large oil filled radiator is ace (it is an industrial size)

Today I feel like sh*t. The designer guy who did my new business logo and business cards has been on the phone screaming and shouting at me basically accusing me of being a thief! I owe him £384 and paid off £20 which left me without food back in August, I sent him a cheque for £1 last month and was about to send him another this month yet he is denying all knowledge of receiving the letter that I sent to him outlining my situation. He refuses to accept £1 but I have said that he cannot have what I haven't got and he has said that he wants payment by December in full..I can't do it. Although at the end of the call, he said that I need to send him the CCCS details again together with a payment plan that I must stick to but he won't accept £1. I really don't know what to do, I have thought about selling my watch and may well nip into a jewellers this afternoon to see what they will give me for it. This watch was my dream watch and bought with some compensation money as an investment. If I sold my watch it would clear his bill, that of my accountant and another small business debt that I owe and leave me about £1400 (yep, it really was an expensive watch) Again I feel almost suicidal because I hate owing money and don't appreciate being screamed at...I could cry. One thing that has come out of this is that I will never recommend him for anything and never buy from him ever again.

In other news, I received a tip off about a cleaning job at a local solicitors last night and I have rung them this morning, I will be going this afternoon for a look around. It would be 3hrs work a week mainly dusting and vaccing with toilets and kitchen being cleaned too (flooring in these areas can be mopped). 3hrs a week would pay me £20.
  • :cuddle: and breeeatthhhee xx

I don't know anything much about the CCCS, but is there anyone you could phone and speak to? Don't make any sudden decisions re the watch. And no kn*bhead is worth feeling suicidal over xx I know it must feel so, so hard when you are in the thick of it and it seems like one thing after another, but you are making steps and things WILL get better

And next time you need a logo, speak to my OH, he is always p$$$ing around with his graphics wotsit and stuff (can you tell that I am clueless?!?)

Big (distant cos I am still diseased) hugs xx

I have calmed down a bit now..he cannot have what I haven't got. I am investigating liquidising my asset but I don't want to sell it and don't see why I should. Not feeling as bad as I did earlier today - the Matrixettes have put me right. The guy is an *rse and he whinged at me because he hasnt worked for 6 weeks because he has been in hospital (he has something terminal with his stomach) apparently I had put him there - don't see how, his lifestyle did that not me! He should have taken out income protection insurance to cover himself for illness.

I have something to look forward to next week - I am having my hair done. This afternoon, I am seeing about a cleaning job which will net me £20 a week for 3hrs work. I have tons of applications to do and I still need to find the cost of storage so that I can put the contents of my flat in there in case I do make the move to my parents, I need to put some stuff into storage anyway.

Sending you some healing thoughts Millie..I havent forgotten about coffee either.

Feeling a bit despondent today, I did not sleep particularly well and it is all down to *rse:mad: I am going to make life even more awkward and pay him with postal orders because he was so nasty to me yesterday. He didnt get the cheque I sent previously so £2 in postal orders will be sent and he will get regular £1 payments each month. His debt is not a priority and to be honest he is really the only person who has been the most vile. No healing thoughts for him..other thoughts are being sent his way so he is in for a painful time. (I know this sounds a bit witchy but it works).

Yesterday was a bit of a wasted day, I had received a tip off about a cleaning job late on Monday night so rang the offices first thing yesterday and was invited for interview/showaround at 3pm, I arrived on time and was kept waiting until 3.25pm (I was all for giving up and leaving), I did not get the showaround nor did I see the woman to whom I had spoken to in the morning - it was one of the partners who told me that the job had been offered that morning to someone else - why on earth did they invite me for interview if the job had already gone?

Some items that I want to relist on ebay will now have relisting charges so I may delete and relist when they have a free listing weekend. There are other items that I can relist without charge - don't see why I should pay fees:D

Cracked open the bag of boneless skinless chicken breasts last night (these are ones that mum bought me after first chatting to one of her neighbours who buy them all the time - mum had to know that they were good) and have one thawing for dinner tonight. Might just cook it in Mosky and serve it with mash, peas and gravy.

Today, I am looking for jobs, completing applications and trying to have a quiet day - letter to kn*bhead will be sent tomorrow because tomorrow is going out day to Aldi and the petrol station.

Sorry you are feeling a bit despondent, hope you have managed to put kn*bhead out of your mind a bit by now, he isn't worth the head space

Good day here - letter from HMRC this morning, a*se thinks I, must mean I owe them money, turns out they owe me money :thud: I swear I am the unluckiest person on the planet and it is the first time something like that has gone in my favour.

Buuuut ze punto is having its MOT tomorrow and in true Millie fashion, I have declared the rebate a bad omen and ze punto will therefore fail and eat up the money...nothing like a bit of +ve thinking is there

I had other things to be grumpy about last night - a new college has opened near me but it was built without a carpark so staff and students have been dumping their cars outside my flat because they are too tight to pay £1 per day to park on a secure, floodlight carpark:mad: Last night at around 9.50pm my flat shook due to a loud explosion followed by several more, I ventured onto my balcony to see what was going on and you could literally feel the shock wave as fireworks were going off (twitter told me that they were having the official opening party). One loonie leftie ticked me off and said that I should be thankful that diwali celebrations were going on, I had to remind her that I didn't mind diwali and this wasn't diwali but industrial bombs being let off by the college. I was chatting to my landlord's handyman this morning and he lives over at Kings Norton (approx 5 miles from me) he said that his house shook and felt sorry for those of us that lived closer.

Today, I went to the post office and got postal orders for kn*bhead. I went to Aldi too and got:

    1 jar jam 84p
    1 pack sugar 82p
Pack of 5 twin bars of Jive (like twix) 69p (reduced from 79p)
    1 pk of 2 microfibre cloths £1.19
2kg steak cut chips (cook 3 ways) 99p
    2ltr soft ice cream 99p
    4 beef & onion grill steaks 99p

I noticed that the chicken breasts that mum got for me did not come from Morrisons but Aldi as they are sold for £3.99 - they are rather nice as I roasted one for dinner last night. My freezer is now full to bursting point and the icecream has had to go into the freezer compartment in the fridge.

I am not in my overdraft at the bank which is a good thing - this is down to my frugality. I owe less money:j Still I am making minimum payments where I can and some folks are getting £1 until I am more sorted.

Last night, I was told by someone on Twitter (someone that I have conversed with) about a new auction site which does not charge fees to list, I shall be having a look at it because I may list stuff on there because I can still use paypal. The site is called CashCowUK.com

I received a letter from the council about my HB today because they haven't received my letter re jobseekers allowance and they have reminded me to send it as soon as I have it, I am still waiting for a decision - I am guessing that because there are so many unemployed people around this neck of the woods, it is taking far longer for them to make decisions - I signed on on 23 September and still no sign of JSA.

Ahhh, now that you should mention it, we heard really loud fireworks here last night - baby bunny was scared, so I brought her in. I couldn't quite work out where they were from, but they didn't sound that close by, so it would make sense

I can't believe you still haven't had any JSA!! What do they expect people to live on? And the vast majority of people are nowhere near as resourceful as you are either!

Decided yesterday lunchtime to switch computer off and go and spend time in the other room where the industrial oil filled radiator is - I had that on to warm me up and the lights stayed on all day because it was that gloomy.

Today, I have done a fair bit - started sorting clothes to go back into the wardrobe (I have a habit of dumping them on the blanket box), looked into the blanket box and found stuff that I can possibly sell plus a piece of material that is supposed to be a sarong, however, I have decided to sew it up and stuff it with ex BFs tshirts and skirts (yes he was a bit pervy like that and would wear a lyra mini skirt around the house to let his dangly bits breathe:eek:) - it will make a great draught excluder:rotfl:

I have also washed up some of my antique glass from off the whatnot - some still to be done and the whatnot is now partially dusted. Also dusted the tv and funnily enough the picture is a lot clearer than it was:rotfl: I take after my grandma where housework is concerned - both of us hated it (I still hate it). Now I can see the dust - so thick that I can write my name in it so things need doing.

Dinner last night was a beef grill steak with chips, peas and gravy - a really cheap meal, followed by fresh banana and hot custard. Dinner tonight will be herb omelette followed by fresh banana and cold custard (I have custard to use up and one fresh banana to eat). I may have bread and jam for lunch like I did yesterday - sour cherry jam from Aldi is delish:D

Letter has been done for kn*bhead but it hasn't been posted yet, I will go out later after I have put clothes into the wardrobe and done more housework.
