I think I have walked past that salon en route from B Place to the Mailbox, looks very nice!
Sounds like a successful morning then, good stuff
I am car-less today as car is being fixed. Have enrolled Dad to take me to the horses, nice Dad

Millie I have PM'd you a groupon link so that you can get your hair done at Adee Phelan, Bham for £27 instead of £120. The link was sent to me by a new supplier this morning - us girls were chatting about hair because she commented on how amazing my hair looked.
Aesop - the only time I drift off to sleep is when I have my scalp massaged..utter bliss. Thankfully this new salon does not have the massage chairs which were not particularly gentle and it was more like having your back punched:( The music and ambiance in the new salon is fab too. As you can see, I am a convert already:cool: My hairdresser is quite chatty so there is no chance of me falling asleep.
I need to start taking care of my skin more - I always have dark circles under my eyes (this is in part to too many eye ops) and my skin is dry despite me having bottles of gloop but I must remember to use the gloop to get the benefit. I think that tonight I may just use my Bobbi Brown facial oil which is divine and my skin feels amazing when I get up in the morning.
Suppose I had better prepare another CV because I am applying for a barista job with Kraft (read that as Cadbury's - Cadbury's always were a good employer and I would have easy access to the staff shop for chocolate, chocolate and yet more chocolate:cool:).0 -
Today, I feel bleurgh and can't be bothered with anything. I know it is my depression kicking in so I am just going with the flow of it today and hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.0

:cuddle: depression or not, I think we all need to allow ourselves a "down" day every now and again, I think sometimes they are our mind's way of saying "hey, I need some time out". Strike it off as a mental health day and start again tomorrow
In the meantime, chill out, do nothing and look after yourself (have something yummy to eat if you have something), Dr Millie's orders :P
Just got back from a funeral, was dreading it, but it was really upbeat (as funerals go!!)
Love xx0 -
Feeling a little less bleurghh..my JSA decision came through today and I have been awarded £67.50 a week:cool: I have also just returned from the jobcentre where I had to have a meeting with an advisor (he pointed me in the direction of the disability advisor so I said that despite having a disability I would never ever see her and explained why). I am doing all the right things and he explained how to search for jobs on the jobcentreplus website by entering codes - up popped some jobs that I am applying for. He also pointed to a free drop in centre at a local church where I can have my CV rejigged and I can attend some free courses - I may just go and poke my nose in and see what they have to say.
I think I might treat myself to some chocolate tomorrow...don't want to break my NSD today:cool:
Millie sorry to hear about the funeral hope you are ok (hugs).
I got a clip around the ear from my mum the last time I went to a funeral. It was my gran's about 20 years' ago and grandma's friend was doing the service when she started having a coughing fit and I started to laugh because I heard my grandma say "don't kark it at my funeral". So I got a clip for being disrespectful although I noticed that my uncle didnt have a clip because he laughed too - he swore that like me he heard grandma utter those immortal words.:rotfl:0 -
Lazy bones dragged herself out of bed at 10.15 and then slobbed on the sofa in my dressing gown for a goodly while whilst the immersion heated the water for my hair wash. Got dressed eventually at around 11.30.
I have started doing housework in 15 minute bursts and have cleared the top of the tatty chest of drawers (found by shed so free) and found stuff I didnt know I had. I also cleared off the nice mahogany chest of drawers in the front bedroom (books now stacked on floor) - I have washed the 1920's dressing table set too (a present from mum which cost her £10) and I got the furniture polish out (free from Tesco Homepanels when I used to test stuff for them) and gave it a good polish. It is my intention to swap them over but first I need to find a home for the 12 months' of washing (all clean and dry) that has been allowed to pile up and then I can move furniture about...unfortunately I have been that depressed and lazy not to have done anything sooner:o
Nipped to corner shop earlier for milk and picked up some mini choc buttons and some Fox's biscuits from their whoopsie shelf, also picked up a local paper. Came home via the hot sandwich shop where I bought a hot bacon sandwich.
In my sudden madness, I am also toying with the idea of dragging my huge iron bedstead across the floor so that the bed is at a different angle - this means that I must also find a home for my large coat stand that is used as a wardrobe - my wooden wardrobe can stay where it is. My whole bedroom needs tidying before any of this pie in the sky work can be done.
Suppose I had better go and dry up my dressing table set and then do some proper washing up because I haven't done any washing up for 2 days:(0 -
