  • Nah, we are the sloe experts and as I said, had we had left them any longer, the birdies would have had them.

Counselling: most people have some sort of issue in relating to others that stems from their childhood and in the majority of cases, it is something to do with how parents related to us. May be worthy of a little exploration though, so I would keep at it. In an ideal world, if we could all afford to pay for private therapy, we could be a little more fussy as to who we go to, as not all counsellors can work optimally with all clients and visa versa. But when it is a GP jobbie there is not much opportunity for seeing anyone else. When I meet my rich man(ha) or win the lottery (did I mention I don't do it), I am going to go for psychotherapy 2x a week, have always wanted to do it. In the meantime, I shall continue with my self-analysis :):)

Onwards and upwards...you don't fancy tackling my huge exam script marking pile, no?

Can I go wild with a red pen on your marking Millie?:rotfl: I have always wanted to write - could do better, you didnt answer the question, A+ or F:rotfl:

I shall stick with the counselling - she warned me that it would be tough at least she didnt tell me to have a baby:eek: I can remember two counselling sessions at the Uni - in one the woman told me that I should have a baby because that is what was lacking in my life (at the time my dad had been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and at that time he could have popped his clogs at any moment and work thought it was a good idea for me to see someone) and the next one when I was being bullied by twerp of a boss, said that the boss was a twerp and that there was nothing wrong with me:D This one said that it was a good job that I didnt have kids with a mother like mine.

What I need is a rich man who is prepared to look after me and keep me in the manner to which I could soon become accustomed e.g. his own private island in the sun, a yacht and a string of polo ponies for starters and steak every day for dinner:rotfl: Just wondering where I could meet such a person? My ship has to come in one day:rotfl:

What a pig, I looked up the early music festival website and spotted a new administrator had been appointed so I rang up the old administrator to ask if they had made an appointment. He confirmed that they had and that although I was a good candidate the new incumbent had organised a festival before..still I wish them well as she may have organised a festival before, she doesnt have my contacts or my ability to make the event great.

It is a bit of a kick in the teeth and apparently the outgoing administrator was going to call me yesterday but forgot...which is not good at all. Obviously, I wasn't destined for this post and it is their loss that they won't have the benefit my expertise that they so desperately need.

Perhaps tomorrow I will register with the jobcentre.
  • Oh bums, sorry to hear about that :( I know you have probably already thought about this, but are there no posts coming up at the new college?

Methinks the counsellors need to go back to counselling school  If I said any of that to a client I would get my !!! kicked into next week (well apart from the one who said your boss was a twerp, s/he sounds ok :))

I have fingers in all sorts of pies, the hotel got back to me saying they would keep my details on file as there is no vacancy on the horizon just yet (it was only a maybe).

I had thought about the new college already but although no vacancies listed, I shall contact their HR Dept because I know there is going to be a conference centre attached to the college and they are going to need someone to run it.

A decision has been made about the monday networking group - I shall send an email to all saying that it is no longer viable and I will have to finish it, the Tuesday group is faring a bit better and people are paying in me advance but even so, that too may have to be put on the back burner at least whilst I have no money coming in.

Tea tonight was bread and jam. I have also had to use a milk jug for the first time in quite a few years because I bought bags of milk from Sainsbury's today (well I wasnt going to buy one of their expensive jugs) which I decanted into a cleaned out milk carton with the remainder going into my milk jug. I couldnt be bothered to cook anything and I was happy with bread and jam because it is what I fancied (don't want you fretting).

I have an egg left - now do I use it for the cake mix I found in the cupboard or do I use it for something else?

Sorry you didn't get the job, Horace. There will be something out there just waiting for you to apply for it.

    Milk in bags?

Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.
  • Milk in bags = Sainsburys new thing? I think? I may be wrong. I think they are intending that you buy their milk container thingies and decant the bag milk. Bag milk is a bit cheaper, but they look better as it is more enviro friendly...hmmm

Horace, not sure why, but the thought of you eating bread and jam made me :( xx
