Boo, sorry to hear your day went a bit downhill
I shall endeavour to cheer you up with cake on Sunday. I told my Mum I was taking you to the yard and once I had convinced her that not everybody you meet on the www is a mass murderer, she said "take my car, yours is a disgrace". She's right
So you will be denied the chance of a trip in the dogmobile, sorry about that!
What are you up to tonight? I am planning to slob in front of the TV in PJs as have been supervising farrier and ancient pony who did not want to have her feet done, thankyouplease. Little madam! Enjoy your chocolate, I have just realised that I still have Easter chocolate here :thud: and let me know if you have any cake prefs, or dislikes? xx0 -
Horace what a great friend you have in Millie, Millie you sound lovely & lol to your mam, thats funny.... I agree with sticking with the policy Horace I have given up so many, if you can, stick with it, ... Agree with stopping the mentoring, explain to her you are no longer offering this service...otherwise dont text her back.... You are too nice for your own good hun....0

I am lucky to have Millie as a friend (even though we haven't met yet:eek:). Cake wise, I will eat most things but not overly keen on bananas (they disagree with me) and I cannot abide dates (for some reason they remind me of the fat furry bodies of Bob Owler moths). Millie, I must let you have my address.
Your mum has made me smile - with the comment about your car - it cannot be any worse than mine. Anyway, my flat is worse - it is so untidy and that is partly due to laziness (I take after my late grandma in that respect she hated housework too) and partly down to depression although inroads, however, small are being made into the mess:o
That is one thing that I have missed - having a friend close by. I was friends with someone for a while and then I made a comment about a flippin cat that died, now it wasn't her cat at all so I asked why she was so upset about it especially as it didnt belong to her and if she cared so much about it why didnt she take it to the vet when she realised it was ill..needless to say friendship ended. My old school friend got married to a chap who is old enough to be her dad and she has become very old even though she is a month older than me - she lives in Upper Sapey and we haven't been in contact for months. I wouldnt say that I was lonely though because I am quite happy on my todd.
Tonight Matthew..I shall be slobbing in front of the tv, I may treat myself to a bacon sandwich using the cheap bacon from the butcher (his bacon is nice and lean and not fatty at all:cool:),or I may have an omelette...ooh the choice is unbearable:rotfl:0 -
nowt wrong with bacon sarnes, or fried egg butties with loads of onion yum x0

I don't *do* bananas either, they smell funny, so no worries there and yes, dates are a bit odd. I shall experiment. Be afraid. I have read the riot act to the monster pony and she might just behave...or might not....
You ain't seen my car, tis a health hazard (probably) and smells of dog, yak. Be assured that kitchen is not a health hazard tho, so I won't poison you with cake...I hope!0 -

I had a bit of a scary night last night as we had an horrendous thunderstorm - my blinds were open as I live on the first floor and therefore closer to the sky. The lightning was bright and the thunderclaps were loud.
I spent the night watching BBC4 - firstly catching a bit of Sight & Sound in Concert featuring Gilbert O Sullivan, followed by Kings of Love from the 70's with the likes of Barry White, what followed after was a programme about Santana (my all time favourite band although I think that Carlos Santana has lost his way as I don't like his modern stuff) followed by Guitar Heroes 3 which finished at 2am:eek:
I have emptied the rubbish bin in the bathroom and now the floor looks a bit tidier (why do I dump stuff on floors?). I have started foraging too as I espied some white crysanths that had been dumped on the bin - they looked alive to me so I rescued them and cut off the dead stalks, removed the leaves and filled one of my posy vases (thankfully I had some flower food left over from the last time I had flowers from a shop). I then went back to the bin because I thought I had seen other flowers dumped so I went for a poke about and managed to collect more white crysanths and some pink ones and these have filled another posy vase with the remainder of the flower food and they are now on the windowsill:cool: Waste not want not where flowers are concerned. The only things that were dead were the roses and the irises - I cannot believe that someone chucked these good flowers out as there is certainly a lot of life left in them:D
I had a bacon sandwich for tea - I hadnt realised just how much bacon I had bought so today I shall be cooking it and bagging some of it for the freezer, I might get a soup out of it as well.0 -
Received a letter from my accountant today, she knows I have cashflow problems (and mentioned it in her letter to me) so has signed me up for HMRC cover in case I am investigated by the tax man, the cost of this cover is £25 per annum - I shall have to let her know that I get this cover as standard with my FSB membership which is one of the reasons why I took out FSB membership in the first place. I am not saying that I am ungrateful because I am not, I am saying that she should have asked first.0

That storm was epic wasn't it!! I was worried about the dog, but she wasn't going to let it interrupt her precious snooze time, the big lump!
Dad went down to the bottom field this morning and said there were sloes, I forgot to ask him about the blackberries though, but I'm sure we can find some. Not sure what the weather has planned for us, but we can shelter in the barn and drink tea if it is bad
What have you got planned for tonight? I am planning a night in front of the TV. J is currently engrossed in Dr Who... x0 -
How did the day go with Millie hun ?? Hope you a good day x0
