Horace is a tart!
A friend rang today (male) who has been working in Canada - he runs team building courses and I shall be getting in on the action so to speak. I met him last month when he was last over and an hour meeting turned into nearly 3hrs because we had so much fun chatting:D Well, he rang me this afternoon to catch up and tell me the sad news about his dad, he invited me to a breakfast networking event on Friday but I said that I just didnt have the money to go - it seems that I am where he was 6 months ago, totally skint:( All the time I was talking to him I was twiddling my hair and generally flirting..what a tart:rotfl: Truth be known..I wouldn't say no if you know what I mean *nudge nudge wink wink*.
Still, talking to him has put some sparkle back:cool:0 -
Gin hasn't happened yet, as I want to get some more gin and do a few bottles. Need to pick some up tomorrow

Hmmm, is Mr Canada single, if so, get in there

Just got back from Merry Hell and think I may have lost what remains of my sanity..... !!0 -
Glad that you have some sparkle back

Mr Canada is single:cool:
I have had another chat with Amex and I need to phone them back on Friday, at the moment they have put my card on stop but at the moment we don't know if I shall be going onto Regain where I pay a pound towards my debt thus losing the card at the end of it, or if I go onto the Care Programme where interest is reduced to 1% from 19.9% and I pay £36 a month for 12 months and get to retain the card. It seems from my statement that they couldn't understand which payments were housing benefit - that's because the cheque is made payable to me and I put it into the bank.
Had to smile today too, my mate Sal dropped me an email last night from Key Personnel offering her £100 if she recommended a friend - now I have sent my CV off twice to these people and never had an acknowledgement but now I am expecting a call back this afternoon (just wondering if telephone calls are cheaper in the afternoo?).
Debt letters need to be done - so I need to stop messing about and crack on.0 -
Feeling scratchy but at least I have earnt myself £10 for taking part in some university research - I had to spend time talking about ticks and tick-borne diseases. £10 is £10.
Am awaiting call from VA - I rang her again because she didnt call but she will phone me later as she dropped me an email. I have called Key Personnel again...god, how I hate these buffoons.
Still waiting to hear from the Music Festival peeps too - I wish they would hurry up and make a decision.0 -
Humph...just had call from VA friend, she has no work as yet and was just fishing but she is going away for the whole of November and part of December and her clients will need covering..so there maybe something in the pipeline but nothing immediate.:(0

Single eh? What are you waiting for then?

I think talking about tics would make me itchy too
buuut £10 is £10 and I could put up with the itchiness 0 -
Glad to see that you have had a bit of positive news today..it might be a way off, but as you say it might be something in the pipe line. Lets hope for a positive September, cant believe it starts tomorrow.£10 a day in September £23.97/£3000

Good morning peeps.
Today is sunny, it is the first of September and I am still skint:rotfl: I thought I had won the lottery or some rich man had whisked me off my feet but I realise that was on the dream I had last night:(
I am still feeling fearful but today I have my first counselling session so I shall be at the docs at 11.45am. Will take shopping bag too as need to go to Sainsbury's (or Aldi) as I need to get some milk - I have £6 in my purse so I had better not spend it all at once. Am toying with the idea of getting longlife milk so I don't run out as often.
I shall be phoning Key Personnel in a minute because I am sick of calling and not getting the promised calls returned..I wonder if it is worth speaking to the manager as that might be easier than talking to monkeys!0 -
Well, I went to the counselling session and shall reserve judgement - it seems that I have communication issues that stem from childhood. The counsellor thought it odd that I am scared of my mother - she's never met my mother! LOL.
This afternoon, I managed to get into a debate about flipping sloes and was told by this twit in the south west that I had picked at the wrong time and that the sloes wont be juicy (funny, they were juicy enough when I was pricking them) so I went back with a counter argument saying that I would pick some in October and was told that the birds would have eaten them by then..erm..you can't have it both ways matey:mad: Seems this person is an aged hippy who makes sloe gin, sloe jelly and dyes clothes with sloes. When he started emailing me, then I am afraid I unfollowed and blocked him..silly man.
I have applied for another job today, via Reed (I hate their system because I cannot amend anything and was part way through the application when I had to leave to go to the docs). I have applied for a job with National Express as a Night Manager Customer Services.0
