1. No one can tell. It's been mild but I think there is every chance of snow. No one can say how much though.

2. Ha Ha! Should've stated, soewhere in the UK.
I did contemplate Alnwich castle, but not too sure... Might be thinking more southerly for warmth!:eek:It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

My "google" research suggested that 5% of malignant melanoma falls into that category?
100% correct. Mine was like a dome, but pink. It didn't look anything like conventional melanoma. However my differential diagnosis was between spitzoid melanoma and spitz nevus (benign). This is also rare, so I had both at the same time, which made diagnosis very difficult.
Glad to hear that it worked out for you too John. It's funny seeing the different attitude to them here vs the UK. In the UK Mrs Generali asked a couple of GPs about removing them and was basically treated like a nut job. Here the doc asked about the moles, if they'd changed or were new or anything. One was new so he said, "That'll have to come out and we'll do all the others while we're at it".
That's exactly my experience too. Once I was in the system, my treatment could not have been better, it was getting in the system that was the problem. In the end I was sufficiently concerned I went for private screening. They wrote a letter to my GP which I took in at 8.30 the following morning and I heard from the hospital by 11am and was in the following day. Now I have "form" on my records, I can call my GP and get looked at pretty quickly my the derm, even though I asked to be signed off. There is a disconnect in the UK, particularly if melanoma doesn't look like melanoma. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I'm hoping that some of our own countryfile style posters may have an inkling, but anyone know if/when there is a chance of snow? Last year (ie december 2010) was a bit anomolous IIRC. The 2 februarys before we have had snow I think.
Other question, where to go for easter? Thinking of a 1-2 day break (already!)
TIA.
1) I've been watching a long range forecast for a while and its not been too bad in terms of overall trends (though the temps can be a bit out):
http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=longrange;
2) Every day I would suggest London. You don't need great weather to look round the galleries, museums, etc. If you get good days you could do a Ripper tour (though you probably already have), take a Duck tour, go on the London Eye... Lots of opportunities. Plus its generally possible to get a cheap Travelodge or Travel Inn room, so coupled with a cheap coach trip down it can be done very reasonably. If you do come down, invest in an Oyster card to get around. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? And yes the downloadable book still seems to be free at this time so grab it while you can!
Thanks zag! I'll have a gander at that forecast thingy shortly.
Did do London in Oct 2010 Viva. Did Don Rumbelow's ripper walk, London Dungeon, Natural History Museum, The Tower as well as a bit of walking about. Was thinking about saving a return for next year to be honest.
Did contemplate Broadway Tower (suggested by Doozer last year & never went), but that can be done as a day out rather than a mini break, & I'm trying to think of somewhere nice for a day or 2 really.
I do like the sea/beaches I have to say...
Have a travelodge voucher to use up, so that will definitely be the way to go...!:cool:It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
The problem with the seaside this time of year is that if the weather's bad, you get that horizontal rain that soaks you through to the skin. I do like Brighton though, and there's good stuff to do round there that doesn't involve the weather (like the pavilion). Or the Cotswolds are always lovely and you'd get to go there without coachloads of tourists.
Then of course there's always Hertfordshire, with days out to Hatfield House, Bletchley Park and stuff, plus lots of nice people to say hi!Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Microsoft are really plumbing the depths with this one, there can't be many legal cases in the world where 99.9% of the world population who may have a view would probably side with the defendents. Get over yourself MicrosoftIt said: "Comet firmly believes that it acted in the very best interests of its customers. It believes its customers had been adversely affected by the decision to stop supplying recovery discs with each new Microsoft Operating System based computer.
If you want a laugh this is what Microsoft have to say :rotfl:"Comet's actions were unfair to customers. We expect better from retailers of Microsoft products - and our customers deserve better, too."'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -

Bletchley Park is somewhere I've meant to go to the past 2 years.

You're quite right about the seaside Viva.
Last year at easter we had a nice spell of weather. I recall going to Barmouth & having a pleasant day. Glorious sunshine. A huge beach. What was wierd, is that from the beach you can see the sea, mountains, forest, an estuary, and also the town. Almost everything in one go!It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0
