The technique is that if you fall in every direction at the same time then, on average, you will be fine. It is only when you fall in one direction that you have a problem.
They say that unicycling takes five times as long to learn as riding a bike... but, since it is generally taken up by older people thank bikes, it breaks ten times as many bones:D“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Middle son was given a ukelele for Christmas from my parents....by Christmas night he had already mastered Paranoid on it!
He now wants a saxaphone. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

I remember my brother going backwards and forwards on his in the breakfast room at home when we were growing up - lots of things (and people!) to grab onto when he started to wobble.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

But can he play the ukelele while riding a unicycle? If so, a career in showbusiness beckons......as long as he learns how to do it before lj beats him to it!:TThere is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
DD has her first wobbly tooth. She said one of the main cuplrits was hurting so I got her to show me. Indeed it is a little wobbly but I wasn't expecting her reaction; she flung her arms around me and started sobbing
She's okay now, she wants to write a letter to the tooth fairy asking her some pertinent uestions :dance:Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Look, you & I already have moments of thinking things have moved on technologically without us, so just imagine what it would be like waking up 100 years in the future.....
....Well, it's impossible really, isn't it?
And besides, think of the house prices then: £3bn for a grotty bedsit in St Austell....and that would just be the council tax!!! :rotfl:0 -

...she was forgetting to eat, so we arranged a home help to go in every day, do a bit of light housework, and sit over her when her meal-on-wheels arrived and make sure she ate it.
Old was really beyond any help that could be given and not safe to not wander around all night.... so it'd have shortly become obvious that an all-night person would be required .... and it's not long before you're at the 24/7 stage.
At 5 hours/day + household bills + food + maintenance on house that lot would already exceed care home fees and a care home would give 24/7 built-in mates/socialising, 3 fabulous meals a day, outings, no maintenance and more. It's not just about the money .... the old needs lots of pottering/wandering space and random mates to sit and chat to about nothing... "It's lovely here..." "Yes" ..... "It is nice here" "Yes". "Hello, I was just telling ... it's nice here..." "Yes".... the old could go on like that for weeks
A nice warm building, no maintenance issues, lots of socialisation, great food .... I'm hoping for a vacancy myself0 -
