Are you in Edinburgh Zag? A1 or M6? I'm trying to think what NP you travelled past that you may have met someone they know?
BTW I "spoke" to the NP concerned and they know who they are so nobody needs to wonder if I meant them! There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
I don't do coffee any more.
I also have access to free Cadburys hot chocolate (vending machine style) but 90% of my intake is tea. Sainsburys Breakfast is my favourite.
Me, pleased that they have Builders tea back in Morrisons. Real strong stuff.
Well Christmas, DW was working both Christmas day and Boxing Day so on me ownsome. Can`t expect the sick to get well for a couple of days and Mrs. P was aware of the situation. Couldn`t get back to family and friends 200 miles away NY. Again, good lady at work. So we both decided to go into our local last night. Oh no, people who should not sing were doing so. Karaoke. What ever happened to conversation?
Aiming to move back to Berkshire in June. Optimistic but a target. Little to do on the house now. Get some new carpets and lock the door. The estate agent can take over. Move in with sis in law and wait for our place to sell. Well that`s the plan.
Got a copy of the letter sent from my old contractors solicitor who owes me a great deal, to my solicitor. Been waiting a long time for a response. Well it`s a nomination for the Nobel literature prize. A complete barbed wire of lies. I was gob smacked. Even threatened to pursue me for losses. Ummmm, sorry, not sure I understand. Anyway, I agreed to give up approx. £1,500 commission per month as a self funding commercial agent. Friends join with me. Does that sound like logic? I may have a generous side but.......
Imagine your boss saying we demand as much from you but we are ripping into wage for a goodly sum. Oh well. Lawyer back in Tuesday.
Mentally, I do have some good improvement. Not there yet, still nasty OCD but doing CBT to try and help.
I really do have to comment on the amount of folk I know who are feeling really low at the moment. Deffo something going on. Mind you, worrying about the future with so many job losses is got to be very frightening for many. Also stuff is really going up in price, sure you agree.
I am not the only one to think this is only part way in. Whilst Queen Cameron gives away rewards to hedge fund mates, who happened to bung the Tories a nice wad , nothing has really changed , has it. Was shocked to here about food banks being set up in what is thought to be " rich " areas. Still a nice Royal wedding last year, Queens 60th p.ss up coming up and the olympics should go some way to keep the masses happy this year. Miserable old git me lol.
Well there I am. Still having a go.
On a serious note, I mean this. I was in a dark place with my mental breakdown. My welcome back here meant a great deal to me. Thank you my friends and may 2012 bring some happiness.
As they say, kisses for the ladies and warm hand shakes to the guys.0 -

I would have thought that out of character for you, to waste electricity by leaving TV on when you are not purposefully watching it.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. :hello:
TLA - alert::
OCD : Obsessive Convulsive Disorder ?
CBT : Cognititive Behavioural Therapy ?Not a major drama, but having decided to study the local river for ...ahem....'personal research purposes,'
He of upstairs omnipresence must have been aware of my mission, however, for having reached the furthest point of this particular trudge, the heavens opened as something like a mini-hurricane suddenly came whistling up the valley, turning quite a nice afternoon into a maelstrom in a matter of seconds.
I was drenched. I know I looked bad, because when I reached home, the cat, sheltering under the shed canopy, fled.:rotfl:
So, today's score: God 1, Beelzebub 0.
Still, there will be other days and another 3 miles or so of river to chart. Today's bit was rubbish.
Is this part of a training course in "Tickling Trout" or similar?
[When I was 13, I had lots of "fun" with people claiming to be "water bailiffs" - what was a lad to do, I could not even be a "junior" member of the local angling club until I was 16. "Junior" meant "you can fish the rubbish bit with small fish in it"].I was not out celebrating last night (not feeling too good) but I did look outside about 12:10 and it was quite spooky like an Alien invasion. It must have been fireworks at that time but they looked like groups of aircraft travelling towards my house (Orangish lights) and then way past, they kept coming for about 15 minutes. Anyone any idea what kind of fireworks they may have been, I have never seen anything like it before.I saw those glow things and wondered what they were....guessed they were some kind of lantern. They fly really high...like a helium balloon.
Incidentally, parakeets do not like fireworks, they were flying about and squawking when they are usually asleep @ midnight.
I am normally a live and let live sort of a bloke; but launching those bundles of burnt paper, wire and bamboo spars is irresponsible. They are more trouble on agricultural land than the helium balloons and how long will it be before they get stuck in/on an aeroplane, or cause a nasty fire?0 -
Tea all day except for one coffee at elevenses.
A deliberate attempt to limit my caffeine intake. I can't function without my one coffee, to the extent that I start to get a headache without it. DS2 calls that an addiction.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I volunteer to help get your forum questions answered and keep the forum running smoothly. There is a warning on them that they should not be released within 5 miles of any airport.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I am a tea and plain water gal.....never drink coffee, can't stand the stuff.
The tea has to be strong with only the tiniest bit of milk and no sugar, it has been that way ever since I started drinking tea again when I started work after leaving school. I can also drink it black...at a push, I can drink it with sugar if someone makes a mistake, or with a little more milk but I don't enjoy it as much.
I am also not that keen on fizzy, so a soft drink for me usually comprises of good old plain water, of which I drink copious amounts.
We are all up fairly early today, have to move a drum kit from my parents around to where middle son has band practice today, eldest son is coming along for the ride as it will save him a one hour walk to work...my parents live literally around the corner from work.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Superb wasn't it? Loved the first 3 and this one was as good/even better?
Best thing on TV over the holiday.0
