Superb wasn't it? Loved the first 3 and this one was as good/even better?
Best thing on TV over the holiday.
I thought it was better than the first three, because the guys are in their characters now and although they were brilliant from episode 1, this one just felt bigger and I liked the nods to the Conan Doyle originals that are placed in them.
I honestly think that this is the best series that there has been on British TV (and made in Britain) for years. Moffat and Gatiss are phenomenal writers and I can't wait to see the next one because the story is so well known (Hound of the Baskervilles). Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? beverages: drinking way less coffee than in the past. Don't like cup a soup BUT don't mind a mug of bovril I discovered recently. Usually though, that sort of light lunch thing is a cup of Marigold for me. I love marigold. I tried to like miso for the same thing, but always rvert to marigold. I used to have consomme for the same sort of thing too. Lived on it for a while.
Like teas, like varity. ATM very inlove with the flavoured earl greys twinings are doing. Best of all though I love rose tea, or a Voyager tea I can't get her e(stupidly, its twinings, but think it probably has to do with the promise that their british tea would still be ''made'' here....the cocountty one I love is probably bagged up in Eastern europe.). I also like home infusions: rosemary is probably my most frequent...a bit of rosemary in hot water, maybe a slice of lemon too, or if I'm ''throaty'' a half sppon of honey. Its meant to be good for bad breath, to me it just tastes nice. Lavender makes a beautiful blue infusion which cheers me up. I love mint tea or infusions (there is one sold as morrocan tea atm that I ran out of a few weeks ago that is just perfect all the time, perfect). I am NOT keen on fruit teas though....they seem to me to over promise and underdeliver. I have a few. I'm off white tea and green teas in general. I have a couple of packing boxes of teas...which is ridiculous, and once I've finished them I'm never going to have more than a dozden types at a time, they do get less good over time.
I love water, but have found it harder in the last year to drink it, especially when I'm cold, so I keep a bottle of squash about to make weak squashes for those days. When I drink less than a couple of litres of water I get more tired. I'm one of those women very easily prone to water retention too, (I know, like you guys need to know that) but keeping well hydrated is the best defense.0 -
Spurred on by Gen's quiz and the Cluedo conundrum, I've set a little quiz for anyone who's interested.
A group of nice people decided to meet up for the day. Being quite a cerebral bunch, after a lunch that didn't include mushroom quiche, they paid a visit to the library as they all had subjects they wanted to read up on.
Person one headed for Dewey decimal codes 636.1 and 629.2872
Person two went to 572.8 and 635.9
Person three went to 530 and 333.792
Person four looked at 364.1 and 796.334
Person five had a browse in sections 636.7 and 949.3
Person six was interested in 332.1 and 994
Person seven headed straight for 345 and 956.94
Person eight had a good look at 634.04 and 636.5
Person nine, investigating a possible business, looked at 739.27 and 391.7
Person ten went to 346.42045 and 728
Person eleven bypassed the non-fiction and headed straight for crime, particularly the Kellermans.
Person twelve instead went to the music section and flicked through the R&B
Person thirteen, who isn't supersticious showed them round.
Person fourteen said they wouldn't be able to make the meet but would download a book to their Kindle instead.

I would have thought that out of character for you, to waste electricity by leaving TV on when you are not purposefully watching it.0

Certainly available at Asda, Tesco and Morrisons.

Use it like squash, it's a drinks mixer or a squash. Good strong peppermint taste, so not a cheap/nasty fake taste.0 -

That's interesting. I've never done that. I hate TV on in the background. Either it beguiles me into watching stuff I don't actually want to waste my time on, or it annoys me. I prefer either to watch the thing or turn it off.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

DH LOVES peppermint squash.:j
We've also recently decided we like cardomon...which I didn't think would be my cup of tea. e.g. we also keep rose syrup in, but though I love it as a flavour in desersts and baking I hate it as a drink that's not tea...fussy or what? we also have a fair bit of lime
I tend to stick to barley waters (so I can believe that I'm doing my water works good) for everyday. I'm gutted you can't get sugar free lemon barley water, I think I drink many peach as a result.0 -
Like PN, I like a noise.....tv or radio on most of the time here. thats probably why I listen to so much radio four.
edit: actually, I'm quite fussy about noise....I also find lack of silence when wanted totally scream inducing.0 -
