Thank you. But you are not "just" a wife. You are a wife and a smallholder.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

I would say Chanukiah:p
Anyone who has been amused/ irritated by the pedantic ness (is that a word?) of the laws regarding Jewish rituals will be amused by this:
What Xmas would be like if it were a Jewish holiday.

Pedantry, I think?
It's a great list (-:...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Right now I have supper for the 27th in the oven, and tonights winter soltice meal to go in the oven. Boxing days supper (we're not having turkey this year, but roast beef, so pickings and left ovewrs will be less fun and a bit simpler and need warm augmentation) is done and frozen. I have marked my calandar with what to defrost when and what gets cooked fresh and when...so instead of drinks with x and y on the calander thats been done by asterisk while the box is filled with ''get beef out of freezer''...
Pre-Xmas: Nothing
Xmas Breakfast: Nothing
Xmas Dinner: Big turkey dinner with all the stuff we like, just main course, no starter, no afters.
Xmas Tea: You're joking, nobody can move
Boxing Day Lunch: Leftover turkey and chips
That's Xmas over then.0 -

No point being MSE over silly/insignificant things.0 -
Oh well, that is the shortest day over with... from here on in, every day is slightly longer. Theoretically speaking, that is.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”
