Are there more coins in each sack than there are sacks?

Sounds great. Nothing worse than being fussed over when you feel ill anyway. Give me a cup of tea then p!ss off (-:
If you're well enough to be grumpy, you're well enough to get your own s0ddin' tea.... bl00dy malingerers. I'd just check you had enough tea bags/milk/sugar and that the kettle had enough water in it. Can't have you getting soft!

Mood-lightening time! Let’s change the subject from car accidents.
Christmas puzzle (if you’re up for it). In a room there’s many sacks filled with identical coins, except one sack has forged instead of genuine ones.
If you identify the fakes you get a huge reward. The fakes are really good but are a different weight compared with the real ones (say they’re 11 instead of 10g)- and you know this.
There’s an accurate weighing machine that you can put any amount of coins or sacks on - but it can only work once (it can’t weigh anything accurately after you’ve used it once).
How can you identify the sack of fakes? You can ask any questions about the sacks or coins and I can give a yes or no answer.
And no cheating – can’t look it up on the internet (New Mexico anybody)? :D
Answers on a postcard.... I think I've worked it out.... but don't want to post my guess here.

If the answer is hidden in the semantics, then I'm right. If not, then life's too short to sit here and guess !!!! anyway :)

I googled it .... and found the answer. That's not the answer I had at all.
And don't say it's not on the Internet because it is.

Edit: Just realised, your "can't look it up" didn't mean it's not on the Internet, that was a rule/instruction wasn't it. Oops.

Edit 2: I would say that if the number of sacks is great and the number of coins isn't .... then the solution wouldn't work anyway.

I grew uo in the countryside where even in the terrifying 'dark' people still drove at reasonable speeds whereas round here where 99% of journeys are on lit streets, go on an unlit road after dark and many drivers seem to find anything over 30 too scary :(

This working lark is definitely getting in the way of house stuff and even MSE - this evening got back to the station at 7, watched the DDs practice then perform in the junior choir for carols by candlelight at the church, snuck out after there bit as planned for youg kids and found we had been parked in so had to wait till 9pm before we could get out of the carpark :(

Just wait. Hertfordshire council are starting to impose a blackout between midnight and 6am. We've just been hit, it will reach you soon!

a benefit of being the only person on my road: I can put out anamatronic reindeer, and christmas lights under a menora (gdb will correct my spelling agin I hope) .....

    I would say Chanukiah:p

Anyone who has been amused/ irritated by the pedantic ness (is that a word?) of the laws regarding Jewish rituals will be amused by this:

What Xmas would be like if it were a Jewish holiday.

Yup I meant it as a brainteaser. I should have phrased the question as, say, ten large sacks of coins to make it more straightforward. And you mustn't look it up!

Does that make it easier for anyone else?;)

    I've been Money Tipped!
    My computer crashred last night.

I'm hoping it holds together for a bit longer (in fact I've swapped back to the one that crashed a few weeks ago, so .....). DH thinks I should get a tablet next.

re crashes, I will never know how both dh and dog dog got out of the crash last winter with no real injury. especially dog dog, whose limb shattered just from running. :(

we live just beside a hair pin bend before a corner. we don't own the paddock the bend and the corner surround, but lots of people go into this paddock of my neighbour's. As a result we have a hotch potch fencing thing to look at there.

Last night, at 11 I moved some teens in two cards who looked a little like they were passing ''goods'' between vehicles. I was in a nighty and never feel that particularly appropiate attire to start a potentially inflammatory situation in. They screamed and shouted a bit but moved on at a terrifying speed. sadly I didn't get their numbers, they seemed a bit out of it and I hope they and those who passed them are ok this morning. :(

You've probably failed the Diversity & Inclusion Test .... as the question wasn't clear to somebody with ASD.

You bad person...... I notice it also wasn't provided in braille or 147 other languages. Nor were instructions provided as to how the question could be provided in large type for the visually impaired.
