    Internet shopping is your friend!

Where is the tribunal? Lots are near shopping places, too. For example, the central London employment tribunal is dead close to Oxford Street.

internetz shopping might be the only solution, although i hate it and won't be at home to accept any deliveries. still better queuing up at the post office on saturday morning than on bleedin' oxford street.

bedford sq, so obviously relatively convenient for oxford st, but i don't harbour any hope that counsel will let me escape at 4pm each day! "please can you explain how these things you call "numbers" work again"....4 hours later.

last year i just said i was going to a meeting and did it all in an hour around canary wharf during the working day. that was the way forward.

Nip to the Brunswick Centre / Tottenham Court Road at lunch time?

You won't, surely, be kept to explain what a number is every day. So the day you finish at 4pm, leggit. Or late night shopping on Thursdays (shudder).

That's the Upper Tax Tribunal, in Bedford Sqaure, innit?
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

I've done no christmas shopping whatsoever, and I have to spend the next 2.5 weeks in a tribunal hearing. Excellent. So basically I'm going to be doing christmas shopping in the westfield shopping centre in london on christmas eve.

Does anyone have a gun, I would like to shoot myself in the face immediately.

and you're sorted. I have no intention of visiting any shops. Send everything to the office where someone will be there to sign for it.

I've bought a lot of my shopping on Amazon.co.uk this year. Now they've expanded their range there's very little I can't get from them. I will be doing very little trudging around shops if I can help it.

I've done most of my shopping. DH ad I are just giving each other stcking fillers because of the house stuff. I've never in my life felt such a profound dearth of Christmas spirit within me. I just couldn't give a sausage this year.

Good point, thanks silvercar. Has anyone used this yet? What was the feedback? For me it is a step too far at the moment, but having said that, everyone I'm buying a present for is close enough for me to deliver in person.

Or, better still, the case will settle on day 1, so you then get 2 weeks unpaid holiday. Such joy being an expert witness! Do you have anything in your terms of engagement so you get paid at least something in these circumstances?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
