I think that is pretty similar to what HID said to me after I made the same observation when she entered the house using a credit card.

P.S. The good news was that the CC was unusable afterwards, which curbed spending for a few days :j

Hopefully she said it with fewer errors though. :)

Ive been ill. Still not recovered properly...:(

I'll switch bank accounts at the drop of a hat if I get poor service. I will complain first, if I don't get a reasonable outcome (not necessarily one that agrees with me, but one that is reasonable) then I'm off.

Pobby, don't worry about ATOS. Over 50% of their recommendations which are appealed get overturned. Stay strong.

I tried doing some christmas shopping yesterday. Aside from my mum, I have no idea what to get anyone. What a waste of half a day! I saw nothing. No inspiration, no ideas, no good stuff. I think I might cancel christmas this year...
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

Who are the people and what are the budgets...tell us about them we can help. :)

As for not feeling well, you shoul be ill here, we could read books in bed in companionable silence. I miss that about flat sharing and uni and school...climbing into bed with friends to watch tv or read. As a married adult I don't have any bed friends any more. :(

I guess now you know just how easy it would be for a professional to do the same

when the police arrived to investigate a burglary at my friend's house, my friend said "i don't know how they got in, there is no damage to the front door". the policeman picked up a pizza flyer off the floor and opened the door with it...

I had a local takeaway in Wimbledon once, and you could open a door with one of their pizza's

I've no idea exactly what the illness is, but my insides feel terrible, & I've been off food for 2 days now. I'm exceptionally hungry. Might try a banana in a bit, as they're easy to digest.

who are they. Dad (it is also his birthday in december!) brother & sister in law, 2 nephews (both under 7), 3 cousins (all female, in their 20's) & their kids (got the eldest spiderman dvd's - the only one with any presents). 3 mates all in their 30's.
There are also a couple of cousins boyfriends who I should probably get a token kinda something for them.

    No major budget per se.
Both parents are relative tight wads, so don't like extravagant presents.
Brother was emailed an hour ago, as he did mention an idea last week, but mom & dad overheard & went out & bought them the next day. Budget is circa £30 for them, as most expenditure goes on the nephews.
Cousins & kids, budget for each is up to about £20, though would go above that if the item was worthwhile & they'd like it.
3 mates, again, don't really look at the cost, more whether they'd like/value it.

I don't actually budget christmas myself. I prefer to find something that the person would like. If I get it right, it is money well spent.

Trouble I'm having, is that I'm not seeing stuff out there that is good present material. I spent 4+ hours in a shopping centre and got absolutley no inspiration.
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

who are they. Dad (it is also his birthday in december!) urgh, I have a double whammy parent too, its a night mare isn't it? I've just today sorted that. brother & sister in law, I always think a nice gift for parents is time, so something like abottle of bubbles, a bautiful cd and taking he kids out for an afternoon an evening for some time together :) 2 nephews (both under 7), hmm....I'm struggling with little boys too this year....but a trip to the cinema with uncle LJ could be art of it...for a 3d film! for the actual gift I'd ask your sil.3 cousins (all female, in their 20's) Space nk: Tell them your budget (of course there is a budget for a gift, for eape, what I want will cost you £1k...wanna buy it for me?;)) and get them something they might not get themselves. (take a picture of them if you have one....for colours)... even a space nk candle....make sure each gift is bagged separately (girls tend to like those expensive looking bags that you get free with a space nk purchase) and try and get samples in each bag....space nk sales assistants like guys buying for gals and are really helpful. Alterntively no ramonace jewelery: bracelets or earrings.& their kids (got the eldest spiderman dvd's - the only one with any presents). again, with kids, often worth checking with parents to get it right IMO 3 mates all in their 30's. You must know musical tastes etc....our close friends all see to have had babies...so we are sending gifts for the babies instead. A book relating to an interest?
There are also a couple of cousins boyfriends who I should probably get a token kinda something for them. lush massage bars: cheap and noting their pressence in your life as the playthings of your cousins. :)

Would you parents like something for the garden?

While we are on gifts, can parents tell me if waterstones vouchers ar terrible gifts for chilren you do not know well but want to remember?

My best gift last year...a timer for boiled eggs that you cook with the eggs and it tells you soft/medium or hard. I love it.
