Missk, you've been having a few colds haven't you? Is your general health ok? Should you have a general health check?
Thanks viva & lir
I have got elderberry syrup made up. I always catch colds, I am one of those ones who catch everything going until I have caught every cold in the county.
Looking to switch current account but the best ones are santander (which has terrible CS) and first direct (we've already had the free £100). Need an offer soon so I can start. Just got to sign up to Halifax rewards and cull the other accounts that I never use anymore.0 -
I have recently switched one of my accounts to the co-op. Very good CS.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Why do people switch current accounts?
I've had the same account for over 30 years, only moving now to avoid being transferred to Santander.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Why do people switch current accounts?
For me it was to save on bank charges + I got a good bonus to change too.
I transferred my business account to them and my A&L account was switched to them at a later date too. I can deal with all my main accounts from the one login. Others are with RBS and Lloyds and i prefer to use Santander online if I'm honest.
I'm content with Santander but I try and do everything online and keeping away from CS.0 -
Well I have a main account I don't change and then various extra accounts used to take advantage of switching offers plus a Nationwide one which was a switching offer plus used to be cheap foreign currency but remains very convenient for cheque deposits. (for example 7 Halifax acs between us 'earning' £35 per month)
DW and I have recently 'switched' to coop for £200 each and we have been away from Santander for 3 months so will be new customers with them again soon for £145 each(for the 4th time)
Only time I changed main account is when FD insisted I pay in salary for mortgage and I was fed up with citibank for not implementing faster payments and also cutting daily cash withdrawal limit in half.I think....0 -

I'm with FD - can't fault them!
I still have a branch account with a physical bank. Somebody once advised me to keep a bank account in the most affluent place you've ever lived.
Apparently it's easier getting overdrafts when needed as the bank managers are more used to people paying it back. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
Stan Collymore tells us (on Friday) that he hasn't been out for four days with depression and now Gary Speed (RIP) tragically takes his own life, here is an insight by a footballer whose ID is covered up about the pressures of being under the spotlight

Poor bloke. He left a wife and kids behind too. You've got to be in a desperate state to do that.
I listen to the 606 podcast and Robbie Savage spent the whole program (that I've heard so far) on the verge of tears.0 -
