I read somewhere that Kindles are being sold at a loss, even at current prices, Amazon's strategy being build as much e-book marketshare as possible, with the profits coming from selling digital content afterwards.

Amazon has been consistently dropping the price 40% plus a year. There will be a kindle that costs the same price as a hardback book not necessarily next Christmas, but certainly by the Christmas after. I'd lay odds that it won't be long after that the newspaper companies offer you 1 free kindle with a year e-newspaper subscription.

There you are again purch, regurgitating the same old Kindle-bull memes and fall back positions. Yawn.
Kindle prices can only go down, look at this graph

I'm not saying that you're wrong; however, round my way kindles are in massive demand. It's impossible to get them in the shops and they are fetching up to £2,000 on the black market.

I'll sell you one for £1,000.

    It's half-price compared to the £2000 ones because it's lost it's premium price as it's no longer a new-build?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Fake Merkel has continued tweeting away merrily today. My new favourites:

Buying Sterling and gold. No reason.

Pleasant lunch with the boys. Bit embarrassing when Monti had to call @Lagarde for permission before tipping the waiter.

My AAA rating > RT@BarackObama: This Thanksgiving, what are you most thankful for?
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Black Friday phone call with @BarackObama. Discussed taking what little money is left and f**king off to Brazil.

Cashing in my Euros at the airport. Crap exchange rate but it'll be worse on Monday.
