If there is anything at all I can do practically...(food for the freezer or something) please let me know. Otherwise, like all the NPs...we are here to listen and care.
I'll call them tomorrow, probably.
Thanks for offering. If I think of anything, I'll let you know. "Afterwards" it might be nice for them to come and see your horses and things again.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

I found my camera this week....after it being ''missing'' all summer. But my computer is dead (lasted almost ...two years)so I'm using a decommissioned laptop from DH's office which goes ''ding dong'' when I plug the camera in to it, but then doesn't launch anything to down load them from and I've had a look through the menu and can't see anything to make it work either.
I want to buy a more robust computer, instead of a laptop, but not til the study is done and it can have a ''place''.0 -

I feel the same ways about plumbers... how did these people work out how to earn £150 an hour for putting together a few scraps of pipe? Headshaking.
It is explained by a joke.
A man calls out a plumber to fix his boiler. He hits the boiler with a hammer and it starts working immediately. The plumber then hands the man an invoice for £120.
The householder is outraged, "I want a break-down of that bill".
"Ok", replies the plumber, taking back the invoice. On a new sheet of paper he writes:
Hitting boiler with hammer.........................£1
Knowing where to hit boiler with hammer...£1190 -
I can't settle today for some reason. Thought I might have too much energy (it was a strange alien feeling) so put the radio on and jumped about for a bit, tnow am exhasted but still unsettled. I'm not sure why. I have a book to read, the dogs are napping, I am warm and snug with a hot water bottle a blanket and some new slippers so warm that my feet are uncharacteristically warm, and even my hands aren't cold (its possible to do almost anything in the world if your feet are warm on a cold day I think). I have the cats here waiting for me to settle, and a lovely glass of water, but every time I pick up the book I get restless. If it doesn't stop soon I am going to clean the kitchen. That'll teach me not to be restless.0

Double-click on the My computer icon on your desktop, to open a list of drives attached to your laptop. Then plug the camera in, and after a few secs a new drive should appear in the list. That drive will have your photos on it.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

And then there's the investment banker who calls out a plumber. When he gets the bill he complains "I'm an investment banker, and I can't earn £300 an hour!" To which the reply came back "Neither could I. That's why I became a plumber."No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Thank you! That's brill.
DH has put that liht back but I'll get him to either take a picture of it in the cupboard (too high for me,) or bring it down to snap on Friday night0 -
Greenland may be fairly big, but there's no way it's nearly as big as South America, which is how it looks on that projection.
Greenland looks similar size to Australia on my map.Straight and fairly short. Mousy brown - was blonde when younger, darkened as I grew up, and got several greys but not very noticeable yet.
Seen viva and NDG, lir is different to what I had imagined and Lydia is just as i imagined.
Things will feel easier as time passes Lydia.
