edit: my dad's car the wipers go automatically, and the lights. I find it really disconcerting,
Mine does that... and if the wipers are on and I put the car in reverse it makes the rear wiper go on too... that one usually takes me by surprise.

Sounds like you have a posh car!

Mine do that too but the worst thing is if you forget to turn them off, they do a single wipe the next time you turn on the ignition.

This will be cringe inducing if it happens on a frosty morning :(

I may get the garage to see if they can program that not to happen.

yeah, planting might be free...but the plants aren't! I planted 7 roses, I guess thats about £80 worth? I'm just about to order the pears for that bit of garden too. I was going to buy four but now pacing it out I need six (should have seven but....they'll get the benefit of space this way:o). I'm guessing pears are about £15-20 ish. So.....planting is fun, buying not!

    Edit pears: £103.87

I'm not much of a guru on soap history either. :)

    I do :)

I didn't know about it when I bought the car.... and suddenly the lights came on and the wipers started working - and it's great. It was about a year of owning it before I chose to have the lights on and had to inspect the lever to work out how to turn them on.

The wipers wiping depending on the rainfall does a much better job than I would by pressing the "do it now" button every 15-20 seconds, which is how I used to do it. I always hated those rainfall days when you had to keep turning the wipers on/off/flick for a manual wipe every now and again.... it's magic.

It sounds like there's a pretty major war on outside, but it's just my neighbours celebrating the bloody putting-down of a Catholic rebellion.

    Hey NDG

Because of your input today i have been looking at beds.

My next bed will be a super king size!

The one on holiday was 7ft by 7ft by me reckoning and i always like the massive beds on holiday so the best i can do without going "overboard" is a super king size! It will fit in fine.

I think our new bed is super king size - 6 ft wide, 6.5 long.

Upstairs we can see the fireworks from a couple of villages, and only hear them from one. The cats...who love fireworks, can't decide which direction to look in. They are loving it.

I was quite scared driving - kept thinking about how late-nearly-ex's accident was related to water on the road. I couldn't put off the journey because I needed to get home to pick up my kids. I slowed down quite a lot, and stayed in the slow lane, but there were loads of vehicles going much faster than I was.

Lydia, that sounds horrible for you. Hope you're feeling better today, snugged up with the kids at home.
