I have absolutely no idea whatsoever what an iPod touch is ... and have never seen an istore. I just Googled the iphone store locator and the nearest to me seems to be 90 miles away. so it's not surprising. Next nearest is 170 miles or so.0

There is a small 3 bed detached near us that is probate sale asking 425 - might well accept 400 or less as it has been on a while. Pretty much demolished and rebuilt as a 5/6 bed for say 200k it would then be worth 700+. I nice profit but takes balls to put so much capital into the housing market at the moment with all the uncertainty.
The 256k might turn a small profit if the buyer doesn't properly price their own labour and the interest and buying and selling costs. Going over 250k has already cost a lot in stamp duty.
Similar houses went for 316k and 280k in 2010.
256k is too much, no profit in that ( or compensation for living on a building site).I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. an ipod touch is an iphone without the phone.
or put another way, the ipod is an mp3 player and the iphone is the ipod with a phone.
Visiting an istore (is that what apple now call their shops now?) is an experience akin to being the new child in a school where everyone else knows where to go and you are lost. Occasionally one of the prefects (staff) direct you to the right classroom block (area) where you meet someone who clocks you in on their ipad. You then wait to be seen by someone at the "genius" bar who is there to solve all your problems, or you book a lesson where the geniuses help you improve your use of their machine. Its very surreal.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I volunteer to help get your forum questions answered and keep the forum running smoothly. And I kind of suspect the rental yield would be far from stellar as well. In danger of sounding like most of the other threads on this board - 'Homes under the hammer' has a lot to answer for.Similar houses went for 316k and 280k in 2010.

The exit strategy is all important - and what you get from it. (I'm talking £££ and the right to produce your own stuff in the same business area.)
Although whether you can stomach the idea of building the brand and then watch a kid fritter it all away....I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. It was interesting to hear Steve Job's comments on Android, it felt as if he wanted to re-fight the microsoft PC wars and acheive the victory he felt was cheated from him on that occasion.an ipod touch is an iphone without the phone.

Rentals in that area are interesting. Very, very few properties are available for rental which keeps the yields high. I would suspect that in good condition it would get £1400 pcm. So a gross yield of 5% once the full costs of the work are accounted for.
Just got a text from my QS friend, his comment - too much of a wreck, anyone would be mad to go above 220k given the amount of work needed. He was particularly concerned about what hidden dangers lurk underneath the back garden which has never been properly laid. On google streetview you can see the end of the garden is being supported by boarding stuck behind a short brick wall (plus the leylandiis)I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Hi all. Back again. Had quite a good mood day today. My cellulitus seems to be on the mend, itch itch. Regaining strength back in my left leg so not a lot of hobbling. Good lady has switched to part time so I like that. Start CBT tomorrow for the OCD. We will see.
Certainly don`t have the old deep depression or anxiety so that I like but have to respect that I have a long way to go. PN, I wouldn`t worry about all this iPod thingys. I have just been sent a smart phone. Think they call it that as you need to be smart to use it.
More conversations with the solicitor. Hopefully the first letter will go out in the next few days. Reading the EU directive , I can`t see they have a leg to stand on.
by the cringe, I really do miss working. A gene I inherited from Dad. He went potty with boredom after 6 weeks of retiring and went back to work for about another 7 years. Also, unlike me, a keen and excellent gardener and a big DIYer.
Lovely wife needed her tyres sorted today. Nice young guy who we have dealt with before. Without prompting he launched into a subject of how rubbish this country is. How it is assumed that we all earn a lot of cash. Was explaining to me that he and his wife earn less than 30k between them. £700 mortgage on a £120k house and 2 kids. Been with the tyre fitting firm 15 years. No pension he was telling us.
I was saying to him that I could feel a deep under current of anger in the UK. Let`s face it, people took to the streets in the Summer. Sadly they played into the hands of the police, media and public attention as some saw it fit to loot shops and destroy property. Yet, in a strange way, it is not a million miles from what the big wigs have done. The big difference was they have got away with it with massive bail outs from us, the people to keep their life styles made up with huge bonuses.
I feel kids have been conned into education debt to leave university, often with a dumb degree to no job. No chance of home ownership or often affordable rent.
I think I remarked that we were selling up and moving back to the South East and buying with my soon to be divorced sister in law. Oh the joys of leaving the West Country. Yet we are fixing on having an extra room or two in case the kids need to come back home. Rents are just barmy and with the planned cuts, it only needs a job loss and the kids have had it. My only criteria is that I have a have a decent shed or garage that I can lock myself away with all my musical instruments and bits and pieces of electronics.
By the way, did any of you see that program about bailiffs last night? http://!!!!!!!.com/5v8y5hs
What a bunch of low lifers.
Anyway, an old time Pobby apres beer/ cider rant, lol.0 -

Or in the case of youngest...he tells the staff the info :rotfl:We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
