Glasgow is my favourite city to visit in the UK. It always seems to have a fantastic atmosphere.

Ashamed to say I've never been to Scotland.

Half my extension has come from ebay and a few cars have come and gone via the same route.

Go via topcashback and you get 40% of the sellers fees.

Little things and all that but I like bidding in the last 5 seconds and winning by hopefully 1p but definitely but less than the minimum bid increment.

I hate builders. Yesterday they decided to do a knock though and connect the new heating system. They managed to connect the hot and cold the wrong way round on the bath/shower tap which did not impress the thermostatic mixer! Then they failed to get the new boiler working leaving us in a very open and draughty house with no heating - still couldn't fix it today, I think they have broken my very expensive German boiler :( Not forgetting that 2 year old DS has ths breathing problem/flu and so the last thing he needs is dust and cold.
    I think....

Nothing worse than being ill and cold.

I think your brave to be there at knocking through time. Even my most hardy friends moved out for two weeks when their extension was knocked through.

    There's your problem.

You should have had Plumbers do that job ;)

    It sure has.

Sounds awful. Hope they sort it out very soon. And hope your DS stays well. Keep us posted as to how he gets on, please.

Your tribulations certainly put mine into context. My builder has merely left me with no heating in the bathroom for several weeks, but the rest of the house is OK.

Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

    Aaaargh!!!

That's exactly the sort of thing I'd be daft enough to do after half a bottle of A'bunadh.

Now you've got me wondering if you can set up an alcohol interlock to prevent you from logging onto ebay while drunk!!

I'd better go look on ebay.:o

Wasn't there a plan once to have a software package to stop you sending emails when you're drunk? It would measure your spelling mistakes and typing accuracy and challenge you before it got sent, if necesary locking you out for a while.

I was slightly perturbed once to send an email enclosing an attachment , forgot to attach it and the gmail account asked me whether I still wanted to send it, seeing as how I'd included the word attached but not attached anything. Useful but put me on my back heels for a moment! :o
