... the other good one is the India Club Hotel- if you can find it! It's hidden up a stairwell in a hotel in the Strand, just across from the Indian embassy and near to Bush House and claims to be the oldest Indian restaurant in London (not sure that's true though). You might recognise some of the customers from the beeb there. My fave!

It's fantastic, I've been several times....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

That's such a traditional menu too. It's like looking at a menu from 30 years ago, no fancy stuff with fancy names. No need to change a successful formula.
I love Indian food. I don't get over to East London often as its not on my stomping ground, but I do like the street of Indian restaurants near Euston station. Having said I love Indian food I love pretty much any food, providing you can get something vegetarian. Malay/Indonesian are my favourites. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

If you're used to Indian food from outside London there aren't many places I'd recommend down here. Most of it's not a patch on what you get in Glasgow and I'd imagine midlands Indian food would be pretty good too.
Tayyab's and one or two others nearby are OK but the other good one is the India Club Hotel- if you can find it! I've not been to either for a couple of years now but "Memories of India" in Osterley and "Monty's" in Ealing are both fantastic although clearly a bit far out for you centre dwellers.
MOI used to make THE best saag paneer. Presume it's still as good!
Oh and Achari near Heathrow is great too.0 -

ouch, little things can really hurt!
I stubbed my toe at an awkward angle and have broken my toenail half way down....ouch, ouch.
Also, and more importantly!, Daisy monkfish is in ''woman's own'' magazine this week, for those that don't get email updates.0 -

Stubbed toes are really painful.
Do you know, I meant to post up a question as to how Daisy was doing yesterday, but ran out of time.
Thanks for the update LIR. Might try to pluck up the courage to purchase it. Or I'll ask a friend...;)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
We harvested our red chili peppers yesterday...and they are HOT!!
The orange habaneros like these :
are less succesful. I would say about 20% are orange, the rest still green. As the nights are getting cold, I'm moving them inside, hopefully some of those green ones will still turn orange?
Ouch indeed, LIR0
