I thought that any A&E would have a paedatrition on call if needed.
I know Queens WGC used to have a separate paed A&E and Barnet had something connected to their A&E.
TBH asthma isn't only a kids problem, so any A&E should be able to cope.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Only person on the x-factor who I have ever met/vaguely know was voted off tonight.
Slightly embarrassed that I know someone on the x-factor.
The use of the word "slightly" is completely wrong in that sentence.;)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Direct gov site says you only get to keep £20.
Working 14 hours for £20 doesn't make sense, particularly if you add travel costs etc
You are correct.
The £20 is an earnings disregard to cover costs associated with working, as you describe. For a single person, the £20 is only £5! (effectively less than an hours NMW!) This is something that hasn't changed since introduced in the 80's - obviously £5 or £20 would have made a vast difference in the mid 80's, compared to now...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
You'd have though so but apparently the default is for kids to be taken by ambulance from Hemel (no A&E) to Watford or Welleyn (A&E but no peadeatrics) to Stevenage.
Somehow although we are nearer to WGC than Hemel and quicker to Stevenage than Watford we come under Hemel and Watford. Watford can take a very long time in traffic from here. It is a shame they decided against the teaching super-hospital in Hatfield(Although the other side of Nimbyism it would have put an awful lot of pressure on local infrastructure.

Nor's the old to my knowledge - the old had never come across it before either as it'd never happened in churches they'd been to in the past. Old spent most of their childhood in local churches as they had stuff going on in them.... just not 'religious'. Old likes churches and a sing song.
Thing was, suddenly, in the middle of everything, when people are telling you that you can go ... you kind of feel you should be going .... I had time to read the paragraph about taking the book and I did that ... and I told the old/pointed it out, but the old wasn't listening/understanding, so didn't take the book so I thought that'd be confusing so I 'made' them take the communion as they didn't have a book to grip onto. There wasn't time to think/discuss/sort it out .... suddenly it was our pew's turn and it was go or be left behind, alone .... the new and rude people.
I just thought it'd seem rude or peculiar to not do it, especially as everybody else seemed to be and we were new and didn't want to look like rude people.
I know what you mean. We were once at a wedding service, I think it was catholic, when everyone suddenly stood up and started blessing those around them, showered them with kisses and then sat down again. We were a step behind trying to follow suit, so trying to bless people as they were kissing, then blowing kisses when everyone had sat down. Leaving us the last ones standing.
Then (well meaning) people approached us at the end and said that clearly we weren't used to such a service and would we like to find out more. We politely declined, one religion is enough.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Bad luck in the derby old fruit. I haven't seen it yet but I might check it out. I like a derby match.
I thought we were a bit unlucky only to come away with a draw. Taylor could easily have walked for the foul on Adebayor and Defoe really should have scored when Taylor(!) got an excellent blocking tackle in. Adebayor could have walked away with a hatrick.
I suspect we'll finish the season above Newcastle although they did look good against us. We've got a lot more depth in the squad than they have. I suspect that the run of games at Christmas will catch them out.
I had the day off today and it was a glorious day in Sydney. I took the Generalissima (5 y/o daughter) to a local park/nature reserve for some exploring. It was great, just wonderful. We went gum nut skimming in the sun down at the river and poked around the creek and wondered around the bushland. There's a beautiful mangrove by the water and some amazing Ironbarks and Blackbutts. They even have some Boronias there which are all but extinct. I taught my daughter here first bit of bush craft today: you drag your feet through the stones and leaves underfoot to make noise to scare the snakes away. On a warm sunny day like today they'll be sunning themselves and there'll be plenty of snakes from the Elapidae Family around like the Red Bellied Black Snake and the Eastern Tiger Snake the former being theoretically deadly and the latter actually deadly.0 -

Wasn't exactly bad luck. We are really struggling to score or be creative at the moment. We were pretty poor defensively too. We looked a little naive, and worryingly, lacking in confidence (5 defeats in a row). We really missed Fletcher - he's our main goalscoring threat.
We need a win to get our heads up again.
Newcastle are in a false position imo. I don't think they deserved to beat us at all - though having Mark Halsey on their side helped - 2 certain penalties & a perfectly clear good goal refused us. 4th place is between you & Liverpool.
Still hate your manager though. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Failing to score and to defend is a bad place to be. Luckily I think there are at least 4 or 5 worse teams than yours in the EPL. Blackburn I think are overrated in particular, I think there's a failure to recognise just how terrible they are.lemonjelly wrote: »Newcastle are in a false position imo. I think we're a better side than Liverpool. Whether or not that means we finish above them in the league is a different matter. Referees seem to crap themselves at Anfield like they do at Old Trafford. The Lane simply doesn't have the same impact unfortunately.lemonjelly wrote: »Still hate your manager though.
That's a shame, he speaks very highly of you.0 -

The midlands, in the middle?
waaaaaaaaaaaay north?
The truth is Penrith is around mid UK and Derby around mid England
The London lot realise the south coast is around 60miles? and the East coast isn't far so can't quite get it that there is anything much above Watford. It kinda reminds me of the mindset that thought the World was flat. :A
Either that or if they ignore Watford and above, it makes their football teams seem good0 -
I'm not a big football fan but like to watch a good game.
I always liked Liverpool back in the day and think Kenny Dalglish is a great player and manager.
I normally support any UK team in Europe unless i get put of by the commentator or cheating.
Spurs and Arsenal are both usually good to watch although very similar in some ways.0
