PN I'm not sure if I've broken the other place - whenever I try and post an 'edit' I get a handled 404.

Also had a spectacular breakage here this evening, builders access the new upstairs via a window where they have removed the large pane but after they go I put the pane back in place propped up by a timber to prevent a gale blowing in now they have broken through - only tonight is obviously the first windy one and 'CRASH' the pane has blown in and shattered in to a million pieces.
    I think....

You probably already know them, but if you don't St Tiggywinkles are brilliant for hedgehogs lir. I have called them before and they were fantastic.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Are you all ok michaels? That must have been one heck of a shock for the kids.

I've seen so weighed him and he's only 200 grams! Not a hope in hell I'd have thought.

I'll call a hedgehog rescue place tomorrow and get some advice! (including what flea treatment can it have!)

As I reported elsewhere, DD2 discovered one last week that weighed 200g. Being far too small, it's gone off to a Mrs Tiggywinkles-type of place. ;)

I've checked (I checked earlier in the week the last time I put a hedgehog out...stupidly without weighing it).

Anyway it has a name now ...Spinathon, and I'll sort him out tomorrow...in fact the vet is coming here anyway so I'll ask her to have a look too, save a trip.

Poor begger really didn't want anything else wrong with him, he already thinks like is unfair giving him the lion share of problems and now he has another one to add to the list!
Things are easier when stuff's got a name though as you can understand why/what's going on, rather than just feeling useless and peculiar and not having a clue why.

I've spent my life not understanding why nothing made sense, I wasn't getting responses, I couldn't work out what was going on .... now I can try to piece things together and flag up where I am having a problem.

At my class this week I identified that I was only doing half the stuff the others were doing as I was spending most time just sitting wondering where to start.... I think I've identified it down to "surprise" - and I asked the tutor to tell me what we're going to do next week. I think that coming into the class having NO clue what we might be doing means I spend so long processing that information that it chews up half my class time... now I've got a week's head start to get to grips with the name of the process and what it is, rather than it coming as a surprise next week.... so I'll see next week if that did help.

.... he kept complaining about the words jumping and swirling about, his headaches and eyes hurting and being so tired that the school thought he should be tested.

My dyslexic DD2 complains of words moving around, but doesn't seem to have Irlen syndrome. She says coloured overlays don't help.

Mind you, being an artist, she is wary about changing the way she sees things! speechless-smiley-005.gif

Choosing not to hook up with losers/users was the choice I made that got me into that position.

A valid choice but doesn't give you the same life experiences as having been widowed young. All I'm saying is that I can understand why two widowed young may hook up.

I also know of couples where both lost a parent at a young age - again the common history creates an empathy.

Would have been except...they slept through it. No problems and hopefully not too expensive, there is no lighting in the new section yet so we have just left everything and put up a wood barrier across the corridor instead although if it rains whilst the wind is blowing a fair bit will come in but nothing is finished enough yet for that to be a problem hopefully.

As the work gets nearer the end it seems to go slower and slower although I am sure that is psychological rather than things actually slowing down. I did find myself thinking today that the extended house might be worth 100k more than the purchase price plus extension cost and that given my limited income and the fact that capital gains on ppr's are not taxed, whether we should look to move and do it all again next year...

Poor you. I hope it's not too expensive to replace? Apart from that, the main issue is that out of the million pieces you only find 999,998.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
