I want to go and get a picture of the road sign. I actually want THE road sign.
I got a photo of my name on a road sign in Devon in about 1979.... I was gobsmacked. I even Google Streetviewed it the other month - in fact, you can google streetview your street right now... go on!

I had a boss once who really made my life a living hell - he even dictated which hand I should pick the phone up in and wouldn't allow me to place the phone on the other side of the PC. I also stuck a statutory notice on the wall (one that it is compulsory to display in an office) and he ripped it down each time I did it and put it in the drawer.

Every morning, my first task was cleaning the desk/keyboard of fag ash as he'd used the PC all the previous evening, dropping his rollie fag ash around the place.

Place was a filthy, stinking nightmare of a place.

And one day I had a go at him and he said he'd been trying to break me down, so he could build me up as that is what his first boss had done to him and he liked the style. I told him I don't get built up again, I stay broken ... and quit.

apologies sss. It was amusing though. :)

I was just about to take big dog and dog dog out up the hill for a walk and the heavens opened. oh sheesh, might as well go anyway....it'll be wet often enough from now on.
  • I'm cr4p at "team-work" and loathe meetings. I wouldn't like to supervise or manage other people, either.

I'm good at my job, though. Which involves working hard, to constant deadlines, being responsible for my own decisions, and mine alone.

I had you down as younger than that.

It's not flattering, Michaels, he means I appear immature (-:
