To achieve the slope, maybe they lay it flat, then dig it up as a slab and stick a piece of wood at one end, then lay the slab back down0

A mate and his missus went to see them in Blackpool, they stayed over with the bonus that the James boys were either sharing his table for breakfast or on the next table. BTW remember who pays your wages'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
They won't be screeding it with self-levelling compound I guess. 2 degs is a tiny slope, and maybe fairly firm concrete will stay in place? Also, will you be checking the slope? What's the tolerance set at? If it's plus/minus 2 degrees, it can be level and still within tolerance. If there's no tolerance specified, can you complain?

I think if it is less than 2 degrees building regs won't pass it (other options for integral garage is to have a 6 inch threshold) so a slight slope is definitely a better bet in my book especially as it means if you park the car wet it will drain out the door to the surface drain.
At first I thought you meant that the car had to jump up and down 6 inches to get in and out. Then I realised you meant the garage be 6 inches lower than the house.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Except of course when the technical words are wedge, sling-back, kitten heel, stilletto or similar;).Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

A wedge is a triangular shaped tool.
A sling-back is a universal wire retractor that can suck up more than three feet of cable in one fell swoop.
A stilletto is a knife or dagger with a long slender blade and needle-like point.
3 out of 4! Not bad for a man, eh?0 -

Round here, nearly all the houses were built in the 1910s-1930s, and the garages are too small to park a modern car in. I don't think I've ever parked my car in a garage. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
