    Is dog dog a labrador?

No....dog dog is a grey hound. The supposed couch potato dog. She does sleep....at night. :) She likes to be busy. Big-dog is generally ok with less exercise than dog dog, but dog dog has some weird endurance gene. She can be non stop for hours and hours.

Last year we did a sponsered walk in momory of a friend. Big dog and I did four moiles, and big dog was doggo. She does 4 miles plus daily, but at speed: walking is more tiring for her (as is thinking for that amount of time) dog dog did eight with dh (a longish walk for a sight hound and it was v. hilly, the longer route), the short route for people like me and big dog was quite flat) and when they got back to the start she looked around and said : right: who's up for a came of CHASE!:rotfl:. Most of the other dogs there were gun dogs....you know, the type of endurance dog designed for slow work over a half a day or a day's shooting...and they ust looked at her with disgust.

NB. A vet would advise us never to walk big dog off lead, she had osteochodritis. Personally I've decided to fulfil her emotional/physiological needs and accept she risks a shorter life. So far its paying off, the ''healthy ones'' normally look older than she does at her age. Its a ''difficult'' decision though.

Sigh. I just wondered what breed of dog these are, so I could envisage them better and understand your posts better. But don't worry, I'll get along fine without the knowledge. Have fun teasing me, if that is your wont. Humph.
Oh don't be a grump; cheer up. There were pics of them somewhere. One is a grey like this and one is wolfy

Sorry to hear about the burglary, lir. :(

It's a pity I'm here & not where I was a few years back, or I could have shut the chooks/geese up, at least.
    Not sure about the rest!!!

well, the police phoned back...I don't have to go, they have secured everything. when dh can come back we might empty it though, but no rush, its secure.

    Dogs can be at ease.

Funnily enough...I just checked and my very active dog is.....fast asleep and snoring. ROFL.

Sorry to hear of the burglary LIR, it's poor timing. Most things can be coped with ... if only other things weren't already being coped with.

I hope DH's suffered no important losses. His 'most important stuff' is probably already with him, wherever he is as he was unsure of his movements in the coming months.

I have SO much to do. Stuff I've not touched for 2-3 months that should be looked at; normal stuff; stuff because of the old; clearing house stuff; house maintenance stuff; essential/critical car legality stuff .... but for now nothing's critical so I am taking some "me time" ... and watching JK .... not even interested in it, or listening, but it's nice to be able to have mindless stuff on the telly knowing I am not needed for something right now.

There's time for all my stuff in the coming months.
