If you go by Eurostar and arrive late in "Bruxelles Midi" (Brussels South Station), make sure you are being picked up or also take a taxi there. You don't wanna be hanging around public transport at night in that neigbourhood...
OK! That's also good to know. I always think those sorts of main station areas are not too nice, anywhere in the world. Hopefully dh will be able to meet me, if not then I shall get straight into a cab.0 -

The government's Statistical Office projects that around 45% of marriages contracted today will ultimately end in divorce. (The other 55% will end in death, so maybe divorce is better?) It's interesting to see that your mother is still hopeful, despite her track record. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Hmmmmm, I suppose it is interesting....but not for the same reasons as you imply I think.0 -
especially as the way middle son wrote it was in a very angry style.
Sometimes being angry is both natural, and good.
The lord Jesus did not throw the money lenders out of the temple in a polite and orderly way, Ya know.
Your son has the right to be angry. He has the right to express than anger, if he chooses. It is not really your place to get involved, except to show your son that you love him and always will.
If the father wants to gripe at you, tell him to fcuk off. It is between him and the son, it really isn't your responsibility.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

No, I'm not the 'muscles from Brussels'
But it's funny you mention him, I actually knew Jean-Claude in his teens. My best mate attended a Shotokan Karate club in Brussels where Jean-Claude was a member and we often had a chat with him after training sessions or a tournament.
Must have been late 70's, maybe early 80's. He was damn good at karate, but already an utter pompous twit back then.
Fair play to him though, he made it big, although I can't name any decent movie with him in....Timecop maybe0 -

Does he have any acting ability? Seriously, I have no idea.
Jason Statham just plays Jason Statham, although I must say that he's getting quite good at it now. Practice makes perfect. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Given that you all hadn't heard of having your nails gelled, have you heard of threading? (Eyebrows rather than nails).
I have indeed. Not tried it, though....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
As others have said - it's called a taxi. As I walked from Blackfriars to Temple this AM I realised that I am still quite fluey and almost gave in and got a taxi - but in the end walked it as I had to look at everyone as I passed Temple wondering if they were NDB.
Do you mean me?
At about 1.30pm, I walked from Gray's Inn down to Breams Buildings (just off Chancery Lane) and back again a couple of hours later. I wasn't around Temple today....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
