This is where I get my S&K pies from. (Home made, huge, and only £3.60 :D)

LOL! Here they are homemade, but not so big...I'm thinking of doing a few with the mix putting them in those little cocotte mini casserole things, so that there are a couple for the freezer.

That siad, the freezer is groaning atm. I think we might also have some roast meat this weekend.

The Hugh F-W (aka 'How much Hugh' apparently, due to the prices in his shop) steak and kidney pie recipe is ace. It's in the very excellent 'Meat' book.

20C and sunny for the next 5 days in Sydney. It's a glorious time of year here. The weather's nice but it's before you get the bush fires.

It looks like we're in for another La Nina year so a cool, wet summer (comparatively). There's a strong chance of an El Nino year next year. After 3 La Nina summers that will likely be a terrible year for bush fires as there will be plenty of fuel for the fires. Plus the firebugs (arsonists) will be out in force no doubt after no 'fun' for a few years.

dh sometimes gets HFW yoghurts from work for a snack, they are ok, but they are REALLY not worth the price.

Also, we used to get vanilla pods at asian shops much more cheaply that at supermarkets....dh has been looking for them for me this week and not a (vanilla) bean. Anyone know where to source these. Would like to buy more that two at a time....

Been away for a couple of days owing to stuff that I really had better not go into now, as it won't make jelly a nice person. I'll discuss all at a later time (or possibly in the other place), owing to this issues concerned. What I can say is that I can feel there will be lots of tension surrounding me over the next 6 months or so...

Some of my toms appear to have a problem, as the bottom of the tom develops a brownish circle which expands. I've binned those, but don't know what it is?

Spring onions have exploded into life again & had a growth spurt.

    Bean crop doing quite well.

Carrots I'm not sure about. 2 of the tubs seemed to have wilty style carrots. Can't see the tops of them, so it is all guesswork!

Very busy period starts next week, so apologies to all if I'm, not around as much.

    PN, hope you are well.

By the way, a few lurkers have popped out the woodwork recently. Makes me wonder, exactly how many lurkers do we have? & are they regular lurkers, or occasional?
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

Probably blossom end rot if it's like this

Most common cause is irregular water supply. But you can safely eat the toms and just cut out the bad bit.
We had it last year :o

And a big hug from me too :kisses3:

Don't forget topcashback for £15 back and search hotukdeals for 3 months free codes.
Yes, that sounds a good plan. :) DH'll love that.

We're thinking about tackling our technophobia and trying out lovefilm online this weekend. If it works the subscription might be worth it over the colder months.

I'm also wondering if I should buy some ore pig lamps......for the house!:o:o dog-dog was shivering this morning.
    I think....

I can't ''compute'' the cashback sites. I've been asking dh to read the stuff. My head just can't cope with that.

Its the sort of thing EVERY mse-er should do I know, to really make a difference. I eek out meat with some veg and freeze in a cold house...I can't do any of the real stuff.:o:o:o:o:o
