Thanks lir. Better for my blood pressure I refrain from launching into a tirade!:D Seriously, it could be so much worse. More frustrations than anything else. What's the 'other place'?
Probably blossom end rot if it's like this
Most common cause is irregular water supply. But you can safely eat the toms and just cut out the bad bit.
We had it last year
And a big hug from me too :kisses3:lostinrates wrote: »I'll pm wheezy.
Yes, good idea.:)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

I know, it's tricky, also to do with calcium deficiency, acidity of the soil, too much/too little nitrates...etc...etc..
Hope you still can enjoy a decent tom harvest this year despite the rot!0 -

I feed every other day at the height of the cropping i.e. now.
No probs here.
Co-incidence? I'm not sure but I've been doing it a few yrs now and never had probs with me toms.0 -

that gives her/you choices. Its worth looking at a good few over an area....(life is going to be upheaved anyway). Some really are fab.....gardens and nice rooms that do not smell of pee..but they are dearer. I think its worth it for quality of life. A good staff who will ''invite'' Old to the day room a couple of times a day...help her find her way and not wait to be invited/let her feel excluded are important.0 -
I've signed up for an extra course via OU, self funding this time otherwise it mucks up the funding for the 'proper' course for my degree. I just had to, with the extra time my brain has, it is making me think too much about life and getting me down (not helped by the supporting of the friend but there you go), so for my own sanity, I need to be studying.
It will however be a useful add on in my studies although I won't use it to count towards the degree (it is only a 15 point course), but handy to know nonetheless.
Just have to find the pennies now from my budget...sure I will somehow, anything is better than going back on antidepressants. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

I'll discuss all at a later time (or possibly in the other place), owing to this issues concerned. What I can say is that I can feel there will be lots of tension surrounding me over the next 6 months or so...
Hope it is not too eek for you.....I don't 'do' hugs so here is a friendly pat on the back (would say bottom but that may be a bit cheeky! :rotfl:)We made it! Some time back I attended some really cr4p and pointless day, which wasn't how it was advertised... it was free and said there'd be information about job hunting/starting your own business + an interview with a careers advisor. All was a complete lie, somebody had just secured some funding and said that's what it was for - the reality was different. I did get a really cr4p lunch from them and the "interview with a careers advisor" literally consisted of me going over the road to the M&S public cafe, sitting down and she saying "Shall I put you on a Life Skills course?" and hovering her pen (I bet everybody else just said yes).... and I said "er ... no .... I want to know what I should do..." and she said "Oh .... go to XYZ website and pick a course then, if we allow/approve it, you've a budget of £300" and that was the end of it. So I did - and I let her know and she said "Oh no, funding's only for a level 1-3 course".... so I found a level 3 one and emailed her - and I got a letter 4 weeks ago saying funding approved. Well, I've been a bit busy, so didn't get round to doing anything about it for the past month, but this morning I booked it. Picked Events Management, online course. Now awaiting start date etc. I can't believe it's a Level 3 course.... they literally do give qualifications away these days like sweeties0

On the selecting a home front, it's not something I've done myself, but one of the most important things I think is to select one near enough so you can just 'pop in' at a random time.
Call me an old cynic, but the elderly who get regular visits from their relatives (who can complain / make a fuss) are generally treated significantly better than those on their own.
Same basic rule with hospital treatment, I think.
Anyway, i hope you enjoy the course, you've done really well recently and it is good you have something to look forward to.I've signed up for an extra course via OU, self funding this time otherwise it mucks up the funding for the 'proper' course for my degree.
