Very much enjoying watchng the parimentary committee thng. (fell asleep while andrew neil was blatherng away at the begnning so missed qute a bit.)

I have only really known of murdoch through hs appalling reputaton tbh. The murdocks, even James master of flanneling murdoch are runnng rngs around the committee IMO and the committees dogged and seemingly uncoordnated dedicaton to their own questons shows how we let the clever and the determned through to domination.

I didn't think, from my second hand knowledge of this, that would feel how I do now. we make ourselves looka bt foolish IMO through this. The comparison with how some of our Met force have handled it s rather ...deflating.

I fully expect this to be the most unpopular post I've ever made. I've surprised myself.

    Why?

Lots of typos for sure ;) but why would it be an unpopular post?

Its mildy in support of the Murdochs, particularly Old Rupe. James is a Flannel merchant, but he's good at it. I like watching things done well.

    I thanked it because it's thought-provoking.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I see. I'm not watching the committee (at work), but I don't really expect much of the Murdoch questioning. they can too easily hide behind lawyers and subordinates.

The focus has been too much on the actual hacking, To be honest, I'm really not surprised or shocked that a gutter paper run by a bunch of sleazebags uses gutter techniques to obtain info.

What's more worrying IMO is the involvement of the Met through investigation suppresion, bribes and receiving cash for scoops.

In other news, Sean Hoare, the journalist whistleblower, the first one to speak out about how Andy Coulson knew about and encouraged phone hacking is found dead in his Watford home. How convenient.
Police are treating the death of Hoare, 47, as "unexplained but not thought to be suspicious".

    Who are they kidding?

Its a difficult: one hopes t will prompt others to speak out: there are always,- regretably and founded or otherwise-, credibility problems with people with dependancy issues.

It's gone off in parliament, not sure what happened looked like an attempted assault on Murdoch or family?
