The excitement of my day has so far been a trek to the surgery with an old .... and the excitement later of taking a bottle of wee there
I don't want to be in possession of old people wee.0 -
Fair enough. I miss a really cold day too if I'm honest. Not a 3.30pm sunset though.
Ah, but think of the twilight at 11pm!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Air-con feels dry and scratchy to me, I prefer proper air....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Nor is it in the wardrobe or any other 'funny places',' but be warned, that can happen too......eventually!
Wish we had courgettes coming out of our ears, but on the bright side, the toms are doing well and we have green peppers, but no red ones yet.
We were in Bath again yesterday, lir, and it scarcely rained all the time we were working (12.00 - 4.45pm) Absolutely tipped down when we went up onto Mendip though!0 -

Air-con feels to me as though I am in a fridge, and I prefer to be warm. I remember once staying in a hotel in Boston, Mass. The weather was lovely and sunny outside - perfect weather for opening the window and having nice warm fresh air coming in and keeping the room delightful. Every morning I went off to the conference sessions, and when I came back the window was shut and the room was an ice-box as the chambermaid had cranked up the air-con. Every lunch time I turned the air con back off, opened the windows, and waited a while for the room to return to a comfortable temperature. The conference session rooms all felt far too cold to me too. Americans all seem to like to chill their rooms in summer to temperatures that they themselves would consider far too cold in winter. Crazy!
ETA Good (or even goodish) news from the Inspector? Hooray. Do tell us more, michaels.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Don't keep it to yourself'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0
