I really ought to go to bed but that means that tomorrow will come round that bit quicker :o:o

I had a call from ex's mum tonight, I couldnt talk as ds was still awake so called her back when he was asleep and she had lost her voice so his dad answered the phone instead ... he is phone-phobic and is one of those men that avoids the phone at all costs - anyway, he starts the conversation with "We still want to see ds, we have a big house and will pick him up and have him for weekends and take hime for nice days out" .... err, now hang on!! Yes I know you're his grandparents and I think its good he continues seeing you, but it will be when and if I think he's ready for it. He has only stayed at their house twice before so I'm not likely to start sending him off right now

I'm hoping it just came across the wrong way rather than them meaning to be so abrupt, but they will need to realise they will have to do this my way. If ds isn't settled or doesnt want to see them then he wont see them. He is my only concern in all this, I know they love him and I'd like them to see him but I won't have pressure from them over this

I'm hoping its just lots of stress on all sides right now and it will all calm down. He wasn't happy that I am telling ds about it, he thought it was best not to tell him. I put him straight ;) My child, my decision :)

    Grrrrrr ...... night night x

So, the days finally here, only managed about 3 hour sleep last night and am absolutely dreading telling ds later. I feel sick already :(:(

Seriously wish there was some lass that let me block all access ever again, how much more crap can ds and I be expected to take because of him

  • Thinking of you and DS today BB. Try to have a good day at work. Don't know what else to say really, but we are here with "virtual" shoulders as and when you need them

Thinking of you today, BB, can't really add anything to what has already been posted by others....

Surprised that BB's grandfather didn't want BB told the truth. How else would you explain his absence for the next year to eighteen months.

I wish you well tonight, hope you get the strength and the right words to tell him. Good luck!!

Will be thinking of you this evening. I'm sure you will handle it well.
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?

    So, I've told him ....

I had a pants nights sleep last night and spent half of today in tears as I was dreading it so much :(

Well ... he's taken it quite well so far ... lots of comments about how its not fair that he has a consequence too when he hasn't done anything wrong :o He asked if he will still see the dogs (no mention of grandparents or muppets gf). Other than that he has carried on as normal, we'll see how the rest of this evening goes ...

In other news, ds got Star of the Week today :j :j I thought it was a nice gesture from the teacher but apparently the class vote on it, so am very very proud of him :D He was also voted class Eco-rep today too :T

Spends today = £1.40 at lunch.

Ebay bids are now up to £20.50 in total, so £20 for ds hornby and the rest (hoping there will be more bids), will now go towards the holiday :)

I'm sure we all vote you Mum of the Week for taking everything you have and coping admirably with it. What a credit to your DS you are, what a mature way he's taking it too :)

Well done DS on your awards, fantastic news!!
