Was expecting it to be suspended sentence or up to 6 mths ... had been told it could be up to 2 years by the police, he's been told it could be up to 3 yrs but that that was very unlikely.

Yep, once sentences they are taken straight to cells then driven off to prison :o

I think you are absolutely spot on to wait before telling your lovely lad BB ~ you need time to get your head round it first before you even begin to explain it to anyone else :(

  • Difficult situation for you telling your ds, I'm think you are right in not telling him just yet until you have got use to it and found out a bit more on how to tell your ds. Im sure your ds will be ok and great news on your holiday, at least it's something to look forward to.
  • Benben thats tough on you both, I hope you can find some kind of resolution for DS to make some sense of it and still get on with your lives. Can your ex 'force' you legally to take DS in for visits? Maybe you need to find out your rights in case he starts his antics...Having said that you've probably done your homework know you, you're so on the ball.

    Take care x

Nothing more I can say that hasn't been said already, really. There are likely to be many emotions coming to the surface over the next few days etc - some new ones, some of them older ones....anger, disappointment, disbelief, sadness..... much like any sort of break up or bereavement, these emotions all need to be respected. Don't try and push through without acknowledging them, otherwise they will come back with a vengence later on.

    Take care of you x

What Hypno said. Bottled emotions have a nasty habit of bursting out at the most unfortunate moments. You are a great mum and a very strong lady. You will come through.
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?

Thankyou all :T :T Another long day, can't believe we've only done 2 so far  On the plus side I had done my Davina dvd by 5am this morning, and haven't eaten loads, so at least it hasn't affected my willpower with the diet :D

I did go and see his pastoral worker at his school today, she will pss on the relevant info to those who need to know, and they will be keeping a close eye on him at school :o

Almost time for baths then an early night all round, I'm knackered and he's back at school tomorrow :)
