I can only say woah at the sentance. I am  that his dad is going to put DS through alot in the coming months because of this.
Actions have consequences, but it is a shame that DS will have to learn this so young. I would be prepared for DS to not want to see his dad and be very angry at him, but of course the anger will be directed at you because you are there.
HUGS to both of you. And didn't ex also have another child too who won't have a dad for a year either? Really didn't think things through very well did he!
Really feel for you and DS
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Totally agree Chev, he's a grade A w*nker   He deserves every single day of his sentence but ds doesn't but he will be paying for it too
He doens't have another child (to my knowledge anyway), but his gf, who he thinks more of than ds, will be left to pay the mortgage on their new large house by herself ... ha ha
He truly doesn't think of anyone but himself, never has. Maybe now she'll see him for what he really is.
I had a phonecall from Camhs yesterday (childrens mental health services) and ds will have an appointment with a counsellor in October through them. By then we'll see how he's reacted to the news and how he's coping with it for the first few weeks. I'm dreading telling him tomorrow, knowing I have to break his heart, I have never hated the ex but right now I am so close ... how can anyone put their own child through this?? He thinks he's a great dad ... really?? You walked out on ds before his 2nd birthday, have continually messed with our heads, had his mother arrested and now he has the stigma of a dad in prison ... such a great role model
I know I'm doing a good job with him and trying my best to give him a positive childhood, but its a hard enough job as a single parent, without this extra pressure
Grr, sorry, just needed to rant .... okay ... today, no idea what today holds, as far as I know I'm expecting a bog standard day at school and not much else after thatMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000
