Thankyou KM, we have a strange relationship ... theres a lot of anger and frustration there due to the last few years, but I know that deep down we'd both be there for each other when it mattered. In a strange way I feel a bit hurt that he couldn't talk to me, especially as he always knew I was good with money, but I guess he couldn't talk to anyone let alone me. For him to have to explain everything to me, especially as he's someone who really struggles to open up to anyone, was a hard thing for him to do, there was no need for me to say it really, he knows he's let me, and more importantly ds, down bigtime

I have spent the last 2 hours reading stuff online about fathers in prisons and the effects on children

It really doesn't make good reading ... 65% of boys with fathers who have been in prison end up in prison themselves   Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

And how many of those boys have mothers who are as determined as you are to make it as "normal" as possible?

Your DS will be one of the 35% who doesent.
Ive given up reading the things like that these days.
MY DS should be a totally uneducated delinquent blah blah & he's certainly not that!

It is when he stops being that, that you need to start worrying :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Are you going to tell DS the truth BB?0
-
I already did KM, I was advised by the ed psych from school not to lie to him. I have told him that daddy has made a wrong choice, he has now told the truth and now there will be a consequence. This is consistent with what I say to him and how school say about his own behaviour, wrong choices = consequences

The sentencing is on the day I go back to school, (monday 5th), ds goes back on wednesday 8th.Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Benben, you're a financial and all round marvel - you're at 69.23% of this year's mortgage target
:D
Well done - and good luck with hopefully many more lovely MB's to come :j:jIf you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.
