As it says!
You are an amazingly strong lady who has been through so much & so deserves to be happy that there is no doubt that you should just go ahead & enjoy whatever Mr S should bring into your life!
I just wish, hope & pray that someone can help DS make sense of his life. It must all be so confusing for him with his 'father' (hardly a dad) setting the example he has.
I so wish there was something I could say & do that could help him.
Love to you both.

Thankyou for the pm Polki, I hadn't heard of them and will give them a call today
So I've woken up with that horrible feeling of fear yet again, I am so scared for ds and whats going to happen to him. He's never going to make it through mainstream school the way he's headed, I am just so sick of my life being such a car crashJust when things are starting to look up every time something else sends it straight back down again
Sorry for my whining, it just felt so amazing yesterday morning and 24 hours later I just feel rubbish againI desperately want some help for him, he is clearly mentally not well yet it is just impossible getting any help right now. I will try calling the paedeatrics at the hospital again today, although last week that took almost a week for them to return my call and even then they just said not to worry about it and they'd review him at an appointment at the end of September
Mr S didn't call last night although that wasn't a huge surprise, I di see him for a bit last night and I dont yet have his number (he got mine off fb), hopefully will speak to him later today.
Tonight I'm having a spraytan done with a group of friends ready for the summer ball on friday night. My social life has finally begun to pick up and now I fell stupidly guilty for going out when ds is like he isLuckily Mr S's son has special needs too so heis very understanding of ds

Anyway, we're going for a drink tomorrow night, he's calling me later to arrange it :T

Awww BenBen -lovely news.Enjoy your new romance
As you know Josh is ASD -and that sounds just like one of his meltdowns at the same age. The bit about lack of self esteem especially. At twenty he still has his quirks and struggles but he manages his condition so much better and I see a future for him -something I wouldn't have said a few years ago . Hang on in there !!!I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Hi BenBen
Just to say I agree with Duchy. My DS (now 19) has Aspergers and I never thought he would finish school, he school refused from the age of 5, but I use to drag him the kicking and screaming!! He also had melt downs like this. He is off to Uni in September, so does get better, but it is hard going. Stay positive and fight his corner is the best advice I can give you!!!

Thank you Duchy and Stressed Mum, it does help to know others have been through similar and come out the other side smiling
I know its just one of those things but sometimes it just gets on top of me. I've made an appointment at the doctors for next week after much nagging from my mates, they are worried I'm becoming depressed (although I think Mr S might help that situation
), I'm not too sure what the doctor can do about any of it, I dont want ad's but we'll see what they suggest.
Spraytan looks really nice, am very pleased with it, we all sat around drinking wine afterwards in our pj's was a lovely evening
Then when I got home Mr S and I were chatting on fb for about two hours. He said he thought it best we don't meet up tonightbecause he thinks that ds needs me more right now and that he wants to respect me / ds and give us time and space to make sure ds is okay etc ... I pointed out that ds would be fast asleep by then (he doesn't finish work til 8 anyway) so ds will have me from 3.30 - bedtime and then I need some Mummy time
And I'm pleased to say he changed his mind
So, I'm meeting him at 8.30, not too sure whether we're going to a pub for a drink or whether we're coming back to mine or what, but I've been frantically tidying up since 5.30 this morning, have changed the bed
aah, am sooo excited
Not too sure quite what he's gonna make of a 38yr old wobbly body, he's used to young things but hey ho, bloked generally don't complain too much as long as theres no clothes on they're quite easily pleased creatures aren't they
I really must eat something today though, because of everything with ds an the excitement of Mr S I haven't been eating. Yesterday I ate one finger of kitkat and a polo mint, the day before I ate a kitkat and a mini muffinNow I know theres no chance of me wasting way any time soon but I also do know that that isn't good, and I will need energy to keep my stamina up with a hoy young 24 year old :rotfl:
Today at work should be a nice day, we've got the leavers assembly for the year 11's for two hours, and then I *should* have quite an easy day after that hopefully. I will report back later on at some point, have funMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000
