Ds safely home, roast dinner all eaten and cleared away, game of Scrabble played and now about to make the fairy cakes, loving the bank holiday weekend so far
And I'm still trying to figure out whether he is interested ... lets call him Mr S. ... anyway, here's the evidence to date, please feel free to chip in with your thoughts
1. I have often caught him looking at me
2. He asked where ds was, I said at his dads, then we talked about the situation with his dad, he explained that he doesn't see his son as much as he'd like to etc etc, then asked how long ago we split up and if I am still single
3. We chat chat chat about all sorts now even though he's working, the other staff chat to me but its just polite chit chat, whereas with him its chat about us and we both seem to hover around looking for excuses to chat to each other
4. The arm touchI know it doesnt sound much, but it sent me giddy and I cant think of a time I'd touch someones arm unless (a) I was a bit drunk and (b) I knew them really well
So, looking good so far, however ...
1. In February I know he had a new gf, dont know if they're still together
2. I think he could be a lot younger than me, too young possibly
3. I asked him if he's on fb, he said yes and told me his name on there (a nickname rather than proper name), I found him and sent a request but he hasnt yet added me. When I saw him last time I said "Oi, you didnt accept me on fb" and he said he hasnt been online all week (really?? People can do that?? :rotfl:) but I can see from the bit of his profile thats public that he hasnt added anything to his wall since December, so maybe he doesnt use it, but then if he was interested would he not have added me by now??
So thoughts pleaseAnd please please please, if any of you are my friends on fb PLEASE dont say a word if I suddenly get a new friend on there
His profile pic looks sooo chavvy but he's really lovely and like Isaid before, is sooo not my normal type, but then my normal type are never a major success either are they

Well i think he may be a little shy it all points to him liking you i would say yes but i think before anything else you need to find out whether he has a g/f and whether or not he wants one. I dont mean to be harsh ben ben as i would more than anyone like you to meet someone nice etc etc. But I wouldnt want you to meet another man who either has a g/f or has a comittment phobia. So I think you need to find out more. But i would say it is looking very good

I agree with pinklady. Could you not ask him if he and his gf went anywhere over the bank hols, that way he might say he has not got gf or is still with gf. At least you would know then if he is available, but sounds like he is keen on you0

Thankyou PL, I will see him tomorrow at their jubilee bash and assuming he still hasn't added me on fb I will say something about it not being a problem, is there a gf that would wonder who I am?? kinda thing (I know several mates from work that I have added before have said their other halves aren't happy because I'm a single female
Anyway, that should clear up whether he's single or not
I know he's living at home with his Mum at the moment, so def not living with a gf

I think he definitely sounds keen benben. Also (and this might just be me) I think it takes a special kind of person to work in a care home and be so patient with everyone - the bit about dancing with the old ladies sets him apart from other men.
Don't worry about his age either...he can still be more mature than his years.
And don't worry about the facebook thing either - it doesn't look like he goes on there very often.
Good luck and keep us posted about how today goes. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Thankyou Polesalot, I hope so
I will keep you all updated as to how today goes
