Thanks guys, I still am a bit unsure why he wants to go for a drink if he's not interested, wondering if I've scared him off a bit? Hmm, will see how it goes, would like to be mates with him whatever happens but am honestly gutted, haven't liked anyone like this for years :(:(

  • I agree with poles - it's not the end, he does still want to meet up so that's a good sign. Maybe there's less pressure now, just go along with the aim to having a fun evening and making a new friend. Ok, you really like him, but go along thinking you've got a new friend, relax and enjoy it:D
As poles said, a great relationship can grow from friendship - you can get to know him well and he'll learn to love you:j:j
I really need to sort out a new signature!

    (((Hug)))

'Cos you've had a sh1tty year and you had all your hopes wrapped up in this guy. Don't discount him yet. Go tomorrow, have a great time and enjoy it for what it is. You deserve someone really, really lovely and if this one isn't (we're not just basing it on his looks here!), just use him as dating practice. There's someone there for you I promise. May be this one, but it may not be but just enjoy it for now.

Lets face it, if any of us had the actual answer to that we would be millionaires from the self help book sales. Men do strange things to us some good some bad.

    My best guess

    You are feeling rubbish because

    1. Crim is the worlds biggest moron and has some freaky mental issues which frankly two days before Christmas you don't need. Honestly the "man" is scum. (really sorry if that is a bit strongxx)

    2. You feel slightly rejected which is a horrible bloody feeling to contend with. (one I am contending with right now really !!!!)

You needn't feel number two yet although I do understand you would.

Do you know what comes over from all your posts? You sound like such a good laugh (and you have really nice clothes) I really think if you were an LSA at my school we'd be mates, I honestly think the why you have handled all this crap and bring your son up so well is just amazing.

Try not to prejudge tomorrow night. remember anything can happen.

    anything at all.

Some great advice there from buffy.

Go and have a lovely time and let him see what he's missing out on. You could still turn this to your advantage ;). I reckon if you back off a bit it might make him think twice. Sometimes a strong independent woman who knows what she wants (and is not afraid to go after it) can be a bit daunting. You have probably caught him on the back foot a bit and he's unsure how to deal with it.

I agree a bit of christmas fun would have been nice but maybe it will just have to be postponed till new year :D

My gift bags from Matalan have arrived, really pleased with them, bargain!!

Still gutted but hey ho, lets see how it goes tonight, maybe once we've chatted a bit and cleared the air then I'll know whether theres any potential for friendship there, I truly hope so :)

This morning we're off to meet some friends down the beach for a kickabout and a coffee, then back to more tidying before getting ready for tonight :D

  • Just reading about the ex, and glad that the solicitor has put your mind at rest to a certain extent.

You and ds have a good Christmas, you deserve it.
