Plates cupboard sorted and cleaned too, not a big one but its another one thats done :)

Last night I sorted out where I'm at with the finances for the end of the year. I currently have enough to get the mortgage to exactly £27k and that leaves me with £92 for the rest of the year :D Not a major probelm, the cupboards are rammed, the car is full of petrol and unless cutie gets his !!!! into gear I can't see me having many wild nights out :o However, there is the slight temptation of sale shopping to contend with ....

I actually don't think I've got a hope in hell of even getting close to it this year DT, however I need to start off positively :D

I have just ordered 8 birthday gift bags from Matalan (see the grabbit board). for a total of £2.47 :T I often end up nipping into Tescos and spending £2 on a gift bag so this should hopefully save me a bit over the course of the year anyhow :)

Just ordered mums mothers day present too :o:o (A doggie doorstop that looks just like her dog, reduced to £4, so saves me £6 from the budgeted cost).

A big parcel has just arrived of presents for ds from ex mil ... I texted her yesterday to see if they want to come down to se dss during the holidays and she is ringing me later to arrange it, hoping now it doesnt look as though I only did it as a parcel came (even though I'd texted yesterday if that makes sense?). Luckily there was no present for me, glad she hasn't restarted that one, I was glad to stop buying for people I don't know / hardly have anything to do with unless absolutely necessary ;)

Well the spring cleaning is still going well, I have cleared out under my bed, binned some, sorted lots, hoovered loads and put back what needed to go back. My room isn't too bad now. Have also sorted the cupboard under the sink in the bathroom, taken out two bin bags, emptied the dishwasher, done 2 loads of washing, sorted out my makeup box and bits on the shelf in the bathroom and again binned / rehomed where appropriate and what was left has all been put in a nice new wicker box with a lid which makes my bathroom shelf look much tidier and better organised :D

Ds is at the park with a neighbour and her son, so am making the most of pottering and getting a fe more bits and pieces done. I have promised him we will go out lateer looking at some Christmas lights, naturally we have to follow a bus route (in the car) to do it :D

Thanks for this. I've just ordered 6 for £2.74 (the cupcake ones had sold out :() but should still save me a bit. My pressie stash box is starting to look quite good already.

  • It's amazing how much random stuff is in cupboards. I found some Tesco cleaning putty (whatever that is?) and have enough shower gel to start a new branch of Boots.

    Any news on cutie?
