    Quick question Moo:

I finally opened the CD you sent me, and can't get the files to open on my Kindle. I just dragged and dropped them but they don't show :(

    What am I doing wrong?!

Ummmmm I dunno. I plugged in with the thing turned off. Dragged & dropped the .mobi files, ejected the Kindle, turned it on and 5 minutes later they were all sitting there. I'm using Windows though, it sounds like it might be a Mac incompatability issue which appears to need you to drag individual files to the application or dropbox icon on your Mac to open first or download an extra bit of software or e-mail yourself individual files.

Why is it that animals always wait until a Sunday or a bank holiday of some description to mutilate themselves. DD1 came downstairs screaching that the hound from hell was bleeding all over her bed. Turned out to be a gaping gash on the rear of her leg. Cleaned her up with salt water, bunged v.v. expensive doggy antiseptic cream on it, placed a dressing over it, padded that out with another dressing and then covered the whole lot with a sticks to itself but not to fur bandage ready for transport to the vet just in case it needed stitching and because we needed more dressings anyway. Phoned the vet only to find they're shut for the holidays. Means today will be spent sourcing non-sticky sticky bandages and nappy cream or old fashioned germolene. Still thats a heck of a lot cheaper than a £100 bill for disturbing the vet on call.

DD1 and friend are having a fab time. DD2 is having a friend to play for the day so I should get a little more peace.

Finished knitting a newborn baby sized kimono yesterday. Figured I needed a bit of practice at such oddball stuff as making sleeves the same length and making the front and back the same basic shape. Even OH admitted it was quite cute. Started on a strawberry hat for someone at school which I've promised will be ready for the start of term.

Sheer talent - and access to a calendar. :D

    I hope she's ok?

    Piccies??

After some serious mishaps, I now do both sleeves at the same time (same pin) - it's the only way I can make them the same length!
  • Poor pooch :( I know how hound feels though, I felt dreadful in the night, but my first thought was that I was never going to be able to get an appointment at the docs today on the first day they are open :o

Hope the girls enjoyed the sleep over and didn't create too much chaos :p
    Just keep swimming!
  • Hi Moo,

Just popping in to say hello and once more marvel at your industry. I am going to try to be more like you in 2012 and actually get stuff done!

Hope your dog is OK. :)

Please can we see photos of your most recent knitted creations, they sound fab.

I was very offended on behalf of their poor parents who are abused royally in these tweets. I'm sure they have excellent reasons for not buying them a car or iPhone. From the sounds of it, these young people don't deserve one anyway - let them get off their spoilt backsides and earn money to buy their own stuff.

I'm on Windows too, no idea why it's not working :( I tried emailing a couple too, but it said that there was a problem with the file format. I'm not giving up though!!
