Morning Moo
What a wet and dark morning it is. I know what you mean when you say you don't know what happened the rest of the day. I think you get more done than you realise. You always have something planned and achieved every day. Hope you enjoyed your birthday. Did you get your needles?
Needles arrived and are fab. Keep changing my mind which yarn to get though which is just as well because I'm wading my way through a heap of novelty hat requests for someone at school. Have done a giant version of the baby berry hat in deep purple and am now working on a cupcake which was going suspiciously well till I realised I'd been daydreaming and had managed to knit a slightly offset rib. The fortunate thing about knitting is you can pull back to before the mistake and start again.
Spent the morning being reprimanded by the dental hygeinist. Went to Mr Ts and returned £28 worth of clothes, promptly spent £66 on food. Hopefully theres a good 10 days worth there. completely forgot to get my mug shot taken so will have to go back again before the weekend because my driving licence photocard expires on Monday. Its not like I've known it needed doing for the last month or anything.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

Up at the crack of sparrows fart again only to find its still raining. I'm bored of this now. Its cold and wet and grotty and depressing out which isn't helped by having a head full of snot which is escaping via my nose and throat. Feel pants. Again. Seem to be living on Lemsip. Have no appetite and have to endure an English departmental sales pitch at high school followed, in theory, by a historical talk on something or other. Planning to leg it after English.
DD1 arrived home in tears having left her new hat on the school bus. E-mailed the bus company but the e-mail boomeranged so will have to remember to phone them later and send her with a note for the bus driver to cover every enventuality.
OHs work has gone quiet. Very quiet. So quiet that they're down to doing three hours days which explains why all leave has been cancelled commencing the start of October half term. Apparently someone somewhere has signed on a fictional dotted line to cover a 24 hour a day contract at OHs site whilst also providing people to work out of Finland on a rotational basis which is no mean feat for a place with six employees (five if you discount the office pen pusher) one of whom is still on compassionate leave although rumour has it thats been canned too.
Plans for today involve bumbling around to fill a couple of hours this morning. Coming home, collapsing in a heap, attempting to feel human before returning for my afternoon stitnt and an evening at high school. Would rather spend the day curled up in front of the fire but I've a feeling I'm going to feel worse in the not too distant future. Hoping I've only got it mildly as some of the teachers have been off for three weeks with something similar.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Sorry you are feeling so grotty again. I can relate. I have had a cold since last wednesday and still have really shaken the headaches that accompanied it! I hope the hat turns up safe and well. Don't forget to phone! lol.
Is OH's work going quiet meaning that he could get made redundant or is it more the lull before the storm? Fingers crossed it is the latter.

Sorry to hear that you are not feeling at all well. Try not to do anything that you don't have to do. The house will still be there etc when you are fit to do something. I agree the weather is quite sickening but at least its not cold... small comfort.
Hope you find your wee girls hat and that your OH's work sorts itself out.
Take care

Most definately the lull before the storm. Have recieved a deluge of e-mails relating to project Finland. It appears OH will be rostered to work there in the not too distant future although no one seems to know when he departs or how long he will be out there for.
Came home to find OH had washed up and hung the washing out. Will put yesterdays laundry away and then collapse in a snotty heap. Don't feel as bad as I did this morning. Planning to surf aimlessly whilst scoffing chocolate (the best thing about birthdays) and quaffing posh coffee of which I still have tons despite not buying any in recent memory. May well use the poorly me time to concoct a highly implausible battle plan to shift the final 8 1/2K of debt. Ideally this won't involve any form of E-baying or survey filling or mystery shopping although they do bring instantaneous results. Alternatives involve more baking for the Country Market although theres very little profit in it and I'd have to aquire some very small loaf tins and a yorkshire pudding pan although I can't see there being too many complaints about the latter. Pretty sure I saw a promotion of some sort in the lakeland catalogue shortly before it winged its way to DD1s bedroom.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500
