Its finally Saturday. The day of lie ins, in any other household, in this one I was awoken at 4:30am by OHs alarm at 5am by him bringing me a cuppa in bed and at 6am by DD2 leaping on the bed to give me big huggles. Pah. Much as I love them there are times I wish they'd give me a bit more peace. Anyhow dozed on and off for a bit lomger so feel marginally more human than I have done all week.

Have an action packed weekend full of riding lessons, supermarket shops and martial arts exams as well as a whole heap of demands from schools to wade through and a lot of homework to assist with. Fortunately OH is working all weekend so it will all get done without too much distraction. Still need to sort car insurance but did get the majority of the paperwork for other things done during the week. Tis also free listing weekend on flea-bay. Really really really do need to take advantage of that. I need the space and the cash comes in very handy too.

Thats because they do two different martial arts. It keeps them out of my hair though and its made a noticable improvement to DD1s co-ordination, balance and posture.

Riding lessons and a trip to Mr Ts ate up the vast majority of the day. Mr Ts whoopsies were phenomenal. Ended up with 12 cans of premium dog food for £1, a pair of trousers for DD1 reduced from a tenner to 60p and a huge amount of meat and lots and lots of other stuff at roughly 20% of of its usual price. Means I vastly overspent but left with enough food to feed the starving hordes for several weeks.

Roasted a huge joint for dinner thus earning lots of brownie points. Froze enough for another three meals which means less cooking during the week. Spent the evening making lemon and lime marmalade. Bought a few too many limes so have a batch of lime marmalade on the go at the mo. House smells most citrussy.

Forgot to put the x-mas cake fruit in to soak so won't be making christmas cakes this afternoon. Need to do some baking though so that DD2 has something in her lunchbox other than butties and fruit.

  • Hi Moo

You should have seen the look on DH's face when I suggested aiming at a ping pong ball. DD was eating her lunch before heading off to work and her face was a picture!!!!

    Classic!!!!!

You always put a smile on my face. I wish mine were still climbing into bed beside me, now its making sure that I call them 15 minutes before they need to be up to ensure that they are actually up on time.
    take care

Came home from the grading with two new waterproof jackets and ten balls of wool. There are days when I'm not safe to be let out unsupervised.
